I got the same email.Anyone had their email from City about the West Ham game?
Love the line that says “anyone needing to collect tickets from the ticket office (at WHU) should allow at least an hour for collection, bag search and entrance.”
So much for the infamous Tweet saying it would just take a couple of minutes’.
Like I said before it comes from people who aren’t regulars and haven’t a clue the imposition it would be.
You are right, it is not a collection game.I got the same email.
The perimeter search last season was the first time that had happened to us at West Ham. As for collecting tickets, I thought the club said this wouldn't be a collect on the day fixture when tickets were sold. So either this is for duplicate tickets or someone at City doesn't know what they are doing. Or both.
You are right, it is not a collection game.
The reason I highlighted it was that if it takes an hour for someone to collect duplicates, which will be a very small number, how long would it take for, say 10%, to have to collect them and show ID.
The rep on twitter said we should all calm down as it will only take a few minutes out of our day. However the club are saying give yourself an hour.
the rep clearly has never been to West Ham, the walk to the ground from the nearest station takes an absolute age, throw in a big queue, and then attempting to get back to your mates, and you have wasted a huge chunk of your day literally wasting time. What if you are selected to collect tickets, and exercise your human rights to decline, what happens then.
Pmsl.I bet our seasoncard rep will be incandescent with rage about this entirely unforeseeable development.
Stadium is in the middle of nowhere anyway. Only problem with new stadiums not enough pubs in the surrounding areas. Do you reckon we can ask our City Matters reps to look into that for us.
