Away tickets

let me explain how it works, get a pen and paper if you wish. i have roughly 23000 points, not as many as some, more than most. the system , that funny enough worked perfectly when we were shit, deems that those who have more points than me get first dibs, people on less points are behind me. not rocket science me thinks. now of course i knew this before i signed up,nil points or even low points meant i was either watching on tv, relying on a mate, or paying the earth. i signed up anyway. my reward for such patience is i can now go to any game i choose, before you start crying "not fair" if you could arrange the return of £3500 x 16 years it has cost me and my family i will hand overall my points to you right now. bet you dont, no, you want games NOW, you want 30 quid tickets NOW, yo want first dibs NOW. well sunshine it aint going to happen. you can't just stamp your feet like a spoilt brat and demand change.

i am assuming you are a remainer .
Bill that's fine but it's just a snapshot in time mate, did my miles (well most of them & I'm sure I'm not on my own) then family/kids/CSA/shit 'insert here' happened. Ultimately I was there also when we were really shit, I long stopped even thinking of 'big' aways, we're all in it together but it helped if you were in it at the right time.

Re Norwich away has anyone been picked out of the hat to collect their tickets

I didn’t make the point about the ticket scheme you attribute to me. You might want to read my post again. Norwich Away has given everyone a chance to get away tickets whether they have enough points, use the ticket pages on the Forum or on Facebook, or have some other contacts.
that is the same for any match

So were 30k others, there needs to be some sort of priority based system.

I very much doubt anyone has, it wasn't picked but they made it ambiguous.

Probably because one of the City Matters reps read about it on here and reported it to the form prefects
they May have a threshold and if tickets sell out before a certain points bracket then they’ll have a collection considering Norwich and Everton went quite low then they’ll probably scrap the collection for these games

My understanding was that only certain away games would be designated as 'for collection with ID' and we would be told, in advance, at the same time the points criteria were announced.

Have any of our away games this season been designated as having as such?

To my knowledge they haven't.

thats the thing, they didn't monopolise the tickets, quite the opposite, they supported the club when the rest couldn't be arsed, those at the top of the ladder were paying 60 quid plus to go to London matches, where City were taking reduced allocations all over the country, when games in Greater Manchester had swathes of empties in the City end, the people doing that were supporting the club, i think the word is called "loyalty", and now the team is great, all those people who couldn't be arsed decry the system unfair. ycnmiu.

So how does that mean that people, the same old, the same old, should be be entitled for first dibs at tickets ad infinitum until they decide they 'can't be arsed'and then sell on the ticket (sorry 'pass on the card' and its attached points so someone can assume their ID and join the ranks of the entitled.

City dropped the word 'loyalty' to call them 'tickets point a funny word that can pull on the heartstrings. Going to the matches you mention wasn't more 'loyal' than those loyal who couldn't go for various good reasons. Does paying the Platinum Points Acquisition Fee make you more loyal than someone on minimum wage struggling to feed his family?

Yet again we get the 'us' and 'them' divide being brought into the noble custom of supporting City. Unpleasant was the word I used in the past, a better word than loyal.

Let other fans have a go - you've done your bit for City, fillinmg empty swathes, paying £60 for London games 'the attractive away games' as people put it.

You've been paying attention; not everybody does.

You are totally wrong as is a system that means the old old, same old, continually get the tickets. City are going to change things even more next year so PB better put his tin hat on because he will get even more flak for what City do.

Your assuming and presuming is way off the mark, rather silly in fact. Remember when the country voted to leave Europe that the Southern and political smart arses said the vote had been carried by ill educated, low intelligence, working class, old Northerners did your ears burn? I think even though they were very wrong in their generalising they got it spot on in some cases.

As for remainer with a small 'R', I will remain blue to the core until my last breath - and still holding the same opinion about the current method of ticket allocation.
