Awful songs by bands you love

Yesterday and Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles.
In fact there are loads of Beatles tracks that i hate.
The Black and Blue Album by the Stones apart from Fool to Cry.
A lot of the 60s bands have a huge chunk of songs that are woeful. They just released and released and released constantly and too many of them never took the time to really sieve out the shite and release fully quality albums.

You could ditch 80% of the tracks on Please Please Me, From The Beatles, Hard Days Night, Beatles For Sale, and Help! from their back catalogue, and they could have just released two good albums from the songs on all of those.

In fairness, you're looking at that from another period of time. Back then they were mostly great tracks.

Agree Sgt Pepper another. My favourite Beatles track A Day In The Life is on it.
The rest not in my top 20.In fact i would say it is my most overrated album ever.

Id agree with that

It’s certainly aged the least well of all the Beatles albums, primarily because so many of the tracks on it involved experimentation of some sort. Backward tape loops, unconventional instruments, whistles audible only to dogs, fairground noises, farmyard animals, etc. It was groundbreaking because it showed the world what could be done in the studio, but for all its faults, it still yielded “A day in the life”, “She’s leaving home”, “Lucy in the sky with diamonds” and “With a little help from my friends” on it, plus “Strawberry fields” and “Penny Lane” from the same session.
I probably play it less than any other Beatles album if I’m being honest though

The title says it all. Everybody has a band where they love/like/are ok with 90% of their songs. However, every now and then you hear one and think that song is some shite.

I love AC/DC. That being said, You Shook Me All Night Long is some complete rubbish! It is completely over played on classic rock stations. They have many, many better songs that don't get played on the radio nearly as often.

Another for me would be Hotel California by Eagles. IMO, at just over 7 minutes long, it is perfect for a dj to step out to have a smoke or run down the hall to use the toilet . Beyond that it is awful.
