Why hasn't he been capped by France? Seems a strange one considering he has been on our radar for a few years and also Barca and we are now spending 57million on. Not like he's 18/19 years old, he is pushing on 23 and behind the likes of Verane, Umtiti and Koschielny.

He broke his leg in his last U21 game before the call up with Umtiti. Besides that, rating a player's fee or how good he is isn't a great indicator when dealing with someone as stubborn as Deschamps and his squad. He was still calling up Gignac over Lacazette while Lacazette was lighting up Ligue 1 and Gignac over in Mexico, also got Spurs to spend real money on Sissoko among other things. Laporte plays well with us now he's in a bigger spotlight and it would be criminal to still ignore him as Kos is fading.
