Well the "spunking a fortune" part, we are definitely doing. The "very sure" part is still an unknown. But if it helps I think the kid is pretty good. :)I hope we are not spunking another fortune on a defender unless we are really really sure

A stupid **** ,you say. Mmmmmmmmmm !!
Think I`ll let Pep be the judge of that so don`t worry your tiny mind about it.Still don't see the need in this transfer unless we play 3 at the back or sell Mangala. Denayer/Kompany/Otamendi/Mangala is fine, and enough has been spent on CB's - this will be another risky £40m that could have been spent elsewhere IMO. We could end up about £70m down on a keeper & CB that seem unnecessary signings (don't care how much we spend but there is a limit & if we miss out on other players in key areas (i.e. CMs/fullbacks) because of these transfers then I'm not sure they're so wise).
He may be good on the ball but if we don't get our CM targets in then he'll be just as useful as Mangala hoofing it long to Aguero.

Pep has an average to poor history buying CBs though. That said, I personally like this kid.I think given his age its worth the risk, i've not seen much of him but for him to be 1 of Pep's number 1 targets speaks volumes
With a triple salchow and pike thrown in. And don't start trying to wriggle off the hook either; you were reeled in fair and square!

Mature reply there. Having a quick glance at your posts I'm pretty confident on who has the tinier mind between the two of us.Think I`ll let Pep be the judge of that so don`t worry your tiny mind about it.
Yes if we go 3 at the back then the transfer makes more sense, or like I said we offload another defender. Personally believe it's Pellegrini's system that makes our CB's look so poor & a change of said system would prove to make a large difference in how good they appear rather than a change of personnel. It's not beyond the realms of possiblity that we'll play a back three.
Otamendi Kompany Laporte, Sagna, Mangala and Denayer's a pretty decent choice.
