Ball boys need training

So we're blaming little kids now instead of the multimillionaires paid to win games for us?
No one anywhere has blamed any kids.
If there is any blame it is on the clubs organisation of these kids, but no one has actually blamed anyone merely pointed out areas that could be improved.

I don't think so. I think people are merely suggesting that it could be beneficial if the ball was retrieved a bit quicker. If the kids can't get to the ball, then it's obviously not their fault. That's already been made clear.

The ball boys on the CB side do sit on the pitch side of the hoardings, but it doesn't help that there is now a definite slope on that side of the pitch as well. As for them being too young, last season people near me were complaining because they were so tall that even when they were sitting down they were impeding their view and had them moved further along!!!

Yesterday was a blip, the referee had no idea how to deal with either the WH keeper's blatant time wasting which must have cost several minutes, nor their player's time wasting especially their last substitution. Absolutely disgraceful. Not sure if we would have scored or not even if he had added the time but someone should be sorting Madley out about time added on!!

This has been annoying me for some time and yesterday highlighted the need to have lads that can do the job properly. .Does anyone else feel the same? Even the players were getting frustrated joe hart ran 50 yards to throw the ball down the line at one point as the ball boy was very slow in getting to the ball.. it was a bit of a double whammy yesterday west ham wasting time and our ball boys doing the same.
Let's go out and buy last seasons ball boy of the year from Barcelona Fukien hell mate turn it in
We got done by two goals to one don't start on the ball boys for gods sake this surely is a bad new low
I can see it now in the papers CITY BLAME BALL BOYS come on .

If the difference between winning and losing is how fast the ball boys get the ball back then you have bigger problems than the ball boys. As somebody else pointed out as we are usually winning maybe slow ball boys have saved us points not cost us points.
I'm saying every tiny detail counts. Yesterday we neede the ball back quicker and it wasn't happening. We are at home. Speed it up if we need it, slow it down if we don't. It's all part of the finer details. Challinor and the towels at Tranmere.

They are too young which means they are too small. One poor kid had too struggle to climb the advertising boards.!!!

This has been a problem at city for a few years and I noticed it a lot last season when we was chasing games. Another thing I've noticed is kolarov takes an eternity to retrieve the ball and take the throw in. There's no urgency in him at all.

Multi-ball is the only good thing about Champions League. Can't believe it is still not used in the Premier.

Could someone explain to me, simply, why the FA and/or the PL use just one ball. What is the purpose of only using one ball? Does it add to the enjoyment of the fans, make it easier for the players or the referee, or is it just to avoid the instances of where two balls (other than Crappenberg's knackers) are on the pitch at the same time. One ball makes about as much sense as having just one goal! And if anyone from the FA and PL read this post and think one goal is a good idea, could we have it down the south end of the ground?

Some of them looked like they'd been taken straight out of an incubator and thrown into a tracksuit.

Piss poor yesterday, actually benefitted West Ham. Really annoying.

Traditionally it's only the ref who can authorise a ball change, and it's considered unsporting for a player to delay getting the ball back into play, so we probably maintain this because it was originally in the the laws of the game. It's still considered unsporting to purposely delay the play, but nobody seems to give a feck nowadays if it gives their team an advantage. There's still a split opinion between refs and clubs as to whether the multi-ball system creates more problems than it solves, as it's not too difficult to manipulate the quantity of available balls during a match.

West Ham's keeper was a COMPLETE twat - every time there was a free kick to them in their half, he took it - but not before dragging his near necrotising corpse to the back of his goal for a drink of water and then dragging it back across the pitch like a snail with a brick nailed to its tail, followed by a ball pickup and spin before finally actually kicking the fucking thing up field - every fucking time he did this

Multi-ball was abounded in the PL as it was felt that some home clubs were training the ball boys to mess up when it suited to delay the game e.g. Throwing two balls into play
