6-1 at the swamp, winning the FA Cup and the Premiership - Balotelli was a key player and someone on here a so called fellow blue has the temerity to call him a Tw4t. I give up
Fuck me my fellow blue, the negatives far out way the positives, not enough time left this season to go through the antics of this mad twit. Could and should of been a hero for us all including my kids and despite repeated chances from all concerned i personally feel let down by him. Anyone who blows the opportunity handed to him by our club is frankly a twat.

Yep.

It's amazing how good a player Mario has become since his transfer was announced. He has basically contributed nothing for 12 months bar the pass to Aguero.

No player in history has required and been given so many chances and thrown back every one.

I look forward to seeing him being someone else's expensive problem, unfortunately the idea of Mario is ruined by the reality of him.

I think when all is said and done, he didn't want to be here and it showed.I still think we should have kept him until the end of the season, though, if we aren't bringing anyone in by Thursday to replace him.

Wish he would have fulfilled his potential here, sorry to see him go but understand why it was time to move him on. No need to continue to slag him off, although I know some of you will do so for at least another month.

Keep reminding myself that he's scored one goal all season long and has hardly played at all. So in that respect, he won't be missed. But there was always the chance that he would click into form. He should have gone in the summer, not mid season.

I think it was the perfect time to sell him... allowing him a good opportunity to pull shit shit together and now to sell before his value gets less and less while he sits in england not scoring goals and puffing on ciggies.

I think Balo was sold at the the very end... I think it was always on the table for a while but gave so much time with hope of things to improve, both on and off the pitch. Just not on the cards for him Im afraid.

All in all, that is a large wage off the books and a hefty few million in the kitty for future investment. Interesting times.

I was of the same opinion, but how many chances does he need? Surely he recognizes the unique opportunity he has and the skills he has as well... He has a manager that is 1 in 1000000 who puts up with mario like no other probably would. Waiting for Summer and then what? 'Give him until January window and see how it goes?' Gotta think of the greater good and the bigger picture. I do think Mario was loved in the dressing room, not so much for his contribution but for his personality.

I do think the training field scuffle with Mancini actually was the culminating factor, at least in the eyes of Txixi and Ferran. Too much frustration. Probably was the issue that sealed the deal.

That's half of our striker dilemma solved.

Build Guidetti up over the remainder of the season, ship Tevez off in the summer and bring in a Cavani or Falcao.
