There'll be a media witchhunt no doubt, Sky set the ball rolling as quick as they could. Conveniently ignoring the fact that Kompany should've been playing today which likeley would've made it 3-0 to us not 3-2.

Sunderland offside goal, blatant pen not given at Chelsea. Whenever you complain you always get told these things even themselves out so in summary, fuck spurs, fuck the FA, fuck the lot of 'em. We're top of the league on merit and we fully deserved that win today.

It was a stamp and he deserved a red card. It was a stupid thing to do and its this kind of nonsence which is stopping him from becoming one of the top 3 players in the world. Is that 18 yellow and 3 red cards for him now in the prem? For a forward that is unheard of.

Do you know whats ironic, i love the guy and he is my favourite City player, do you not remember the thread a month ago called "Just spoke to Balotelli"?

The thing that really pisses me off, if that would have been any Tottenham player doing what Mario did, there would be uproar on this forum. But because its City, people dont react the same. It was a stupid thing to do and he will have to deal with the puinishment, which will be a 4 game ban.

Do yourself a favour mate and log off, chill out and come back in a few hours.

It seems to be impossible to tell for certain that it was intentional as:

a) He was falling and had lost his balance.
b) He was not even looking at Parker, so may not have known where he was.
c) He was adjusting his feet to try and stay up.

This is not to say it definitely was not intentional, but there is certainly more than enough room for reasonable doubt. So, for me at least, he's innocent until proven guilty.

In my opinion, people who are chastising him are doing so based on his history and not on the incident itself. Yes, he is more likely to commit such an act, but that doesn't make him any more guilty.

Will he get banned? I actually don't think he will for the reasons I've said above. We shall see though.

Thank you!! I wrote a long reply and then said f*ck it. I'll add Modric also looked to become off balance and ever so slightly put a hand on Balo, to what effect who knows. From the gif, you can't see if Balo's foot goes all the way down. If it's just on his toes, it would make an ineffectual stomp.

But I agree with you-too many doubts for me to say it was intentional.

It was a stamp and he will be banned for 4 games - really unneccessary.

No he won't no injury to Parker Webb didn't see it end of.

I'm gonna stand by the 'reasonable doubt' argument. there is surely reasonable doubt as he was spinning, falling and not looking.

On a related note; that gif going round is feckin ridiculous. I hope the FA use a better replay than that to judge it.

What i can't work out is the Modric shove in that video ...

he appears to clearly shove Balotelli in the back just as Marios foot makes contact with Parkers head ... is he shoving Balotelli away after he saw the so called stamp ?

if so then why didn't Modric make a whole lot more of it , as a lot of players tend to these days ????????

Or did the shove cause Balotelli to lose his balance even more than he already had and cause his right leg to jut out???
