The trouble with all you haters is your looking for a scapegoat. Balotelli wasn't to bad yesterday in general play, in fact, he was quite good in the first half and was unlucky not to score, if he would have took it on his favoured foot, it was in. The problem is the collapse in the last month, now this cannot be blamed on Balotelli. Look for other players, at one point, i actually forgot Nasri was on the field in the second half and he slows the play to much. Silva's form hasn't helped. Forwards cannot be blamed for yesterday as the service was none existent. To me, it does seem the pressure has got to the players and maybe management and maybe from a higher source. Maybe it has to be put down as a learning curve to not change things, i dunno, but it cannot be rested on Balotelli's shoulders even tho he was petulant.

and was lucky not to get sent off after 20 minutes which would have left us right in the shit.
That was never balent, mistimed yeah, but not blatent.

would you really say it was out of character to do these poor mistimed challenges so often? To me it is blatant but he has the look on his face that he is trying to show the persona of an innocent man, just like the scott parker incident, if that was rooney who accidentally caught parker's head on landing do you really think we would be saying he never intentionally meant to do this, trust me i know the answer of all us blues!

The point is he didn't score when he had a clear cut chance. He chose instead to try and flick a foot at it when a true world class striker would have got his foot round it and struck it firmly. I have more of a problem with him for that than for his poor challenges.

Not really interested in his apology. He has let the club, the fans and most importantly a manager who has repeatedly stuck by him down is such a big way. He is an extremely talented player and I'm sure a really nice bloke. But when he steps onto the pitch its virually impossible to see any positive aspects to his game, but i'll try.

He takes a great penalty
He does score the odd goal that takes your breath away

But thats against a player that shows a genuine lack of interest in the team
A player that seems to deliberately to want to injure opppositon players
A player who quite obviously plays for himself and nobody else
4 sendings off & games missed due to suspension
The constant throwing himself to the ground or diving
Feigning injuries to hide his lack of interest

He gets a raw deal from most refs but he's only got hiself to blame for that. He could be the best player in the world, but sadly he won't be.

So your saying Balotelli is the scapegoat? And Rooney would not have been sent off for any of those incidents. I thought both yellows were harsh and Sagna made a meal of both. Turn it on it's head and ask your yourself, was Songs challenge on Yaya any worse than the two yellows?

From Rob Harris on Twitter

@RobHarris: Balotelli apology: I'm very sorry for what happened and for the disappointment caused to Man City & especially to Roberto Mancini

@RobHarris: Balotelli on City future: "At the end of the season I will speak with the club & we'll see"

Too fookin late - probably he has just found out that he is going on a 12 month loan to Anzii or spend the next 12 months playing at Hyde doe the EDS

Bye Bye

Thing is Mario is undoubtedly a fantasic footballer, no question. There are lots of footballers out there who are fantastic, but to be a great footballer you have to be totally professional meaning that you (as a professional) are paid to undertake a specialised set of tasks ie winning football matches for the said 'fee'.I don't think that the word 'professional' can be applied to Mario due to the fact that he has not consistently carried out his duties this season. If Mario was in another profession maybe a doctor say, he would have been struck off the list.I wanted Mario to do well, he is an amiable guy who is misunderstood by people due to the tabloid press and tap your phone, email etc sky empire, but I am sorry to say this.He has no future at OUR club because our owners ARE professional and will make a swift decision at the end of the season. It's been a blast Mario, farewell and good hunting.

You call Mario a fantastic footballer, i would love to know your definition of "fantastic". He has scored a few great goals for us in the 2 years he has been with us and is probably the best penalty taker i have (or the premier league) has ever seen, but what sort of player bracket do you put him in? Messi and Ronaldo are in a class of their own, then Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas and probably 50-100 players in europe that are better than him so to call him fantastic has to be earned and i'm afraid this clown will never be in the same league as these fantastic players! Only in Marios's head he thinks he's on par with Ronaldo and a close second to Messi.

The above players you mentioned are great footballers, please read my post again and again if you have trouble understanding it.
