The goal against Fulham was fine goal. Nothing really special just a good goal.The shot at Wembley was a hit and hope one that the keeper saved fairly easily.

So how many games have you had to go back to find 2 things worthy of a mention?

Christ, what was Tevez's last moment of brilliance? I genuinely can't remember.

I think this might actually explain a little. I am not looking for moments of brilliance.It's very nice when they happen but what I want a lot more is consistently good performances for the team.

I don't get upset if the player tries to do the right thing and it doesnt always come off.I don't castigate a player for just missing a tackle or shooting wide or misplacing a pass.It happens ,all players do it.

But what I will complain about is a player who doesn't put enough in or consistently misses tackles or messes up passes.It's no good hoping to provide a moment of magic to help your team win a game.They just don't happen that often although it does seem that some fans are happy with that scenario.

Tevez of late hasn't played that well there is no doubt. A little of that will be fitness/injury related but yes he is off form.But still when he plays he works very hard for the team and most of the time is still the man who makes things happen through his running on and off the ball.

You sure as hell cannot say that about Mario.

I feel sorry that you can't bring yourself to recognise a bit of talent when you see it. Even his harshest critics know he has ability, all the pros and pundits too. You are officially the lunatic fringe.

If Everyone who criticised Robbie, Elano and the rest of the talented lads who didn't run round headless chickens takes it back then I will change my opinion on Balo.

Fair's fair after all, Balo's done less than the pair of them in their first season.

no goals in 2 months, no acceptable for a guy who brings only sporadic good things when he feels like it to the team and quite a lot of aggro on and off it.

There was a thread; Where is the evidence of Balo's Talent, Here it is, But you've gone miles back to look for that, well I'd have to look as far back for evidence of Tevez's talent.

to be fair you can't score if you ain't on the pitch and hardly get game time.

besides on monday it took him 2 minutes to do more than what Balo had for 70.

I agree about monday that Balotelli was poor. Today however i thought Balotelli played ok and got involved, created chances and was unlucky with a few efforts.

If he wasnt leaving or wanted to leave he wouldn't of handed in his request or he could come out tomorrow or even sometime in the last week and say im not leaving. Simple really. Even Mancini has done that.

No, you're supposed to use some common sense. Strikers go through barren spells.

Common sense combined with a little patience and forethought too. No-one else in the league has a striker in their team with as much potential as Balotelli. No-one. I'd argue no-one else has anyone who provides such a constant source of entertainment either, but that's an argument for another thread :p

There was a topic on here not too long ago that summed it up perfectly for me. If you don't like Balotelli, would you be happy to see him sold to one of our immediate rivals? Because I sure as shit wouldn't.

Much as it pains me but what about Hernadez?

Tevez got us to 4th place. If he can play without breaking down he should be on the pitch. He might not have gone to the semi and lots of people want him out but people's short memories astound me.

But he hasn't scored from open play since February. Hell if Balotelli hadn't of won him the penalty against Sunderland he wouldn't of scored at all. Surely based on your comments he is out of form so shouldn't start either

but he isn't playing is he...so hasn't had the chance to score ;)

and he's proved his worth and earnt his spot with those er...50 goals.

I'm sorry but Tevez has done so much for this club. He is entitled to be forgiven for going on a bit of a dry spell. Balotelli has done fuck all but we're supposed to say it's ok because he has "talent".

Tevez is leaving, deal with that. Balotelli is our main striker now. Deal with that too. Your dislike of him will not change these facts. And he has done a great deal, dont know where you are getting "fuck all" considering today alone he was involved in both goals. But hey selective memory is a great thing when chosing to hate on someone. Facts dont really matter do they?.
