This is not the office, it's a training ground incident. It's not the usual manager / employee relationship. It's team mate and coach and bust ups and arguments happen all the time.

The only thing that's unusual is that it's captured on camera and it involves famous footballers

Can you please tell me why a Football Club should have a different COC than set out in an office?

That's gone right over your head, hasn't it? Balotelli has got in a fight with the Manager on the training pitch (someone who has the authority to sell him) whilst C*ntona attacked a fan who was racially abusing him.

There's very little chance that Balotelli will be a City player after the transfer window closes.

I've missed something. Can you explain how it is possible to racially abuse Cantona?

Racism can fairly be defined as descriminatory behaviour based on cultural or national stereotypes. It's a broad term which easily covers the things shouted on that night at Selhurst Park. I really can't believe I've had to explain this to somebody...

For the same reason that a coal mine has a different COC than set out in an office.

I can't believe anybody even asked that.

There's very little that goes over my head, and anything you post certainly doesn't form part of it.

Thanks for letting me know.

Never bite the hand that feeds you!

Time to pack your bags Mario, take your Tee-Shirts, Joker Hats and Parking Tickets with you and try the next orphanage in town.

Because, for a start, an office doesn't have a working environment which involves assault by consent as part of its MO.

Whilst by the word of the law you are correct, the law is an ass on this one.

I'm going to be (briefly) serious.

There have been a number of occasions in the last four years that have marked our transformation as a club. Today is one such occasion.

If someone had told you in the summer of 2008 that a trivial skirmish between our manager and our fourth choice striker would make the BBC six o' clock news and no-one would be especially surprised you'd have labelled them insane. And yet if a similar incident happened at Arsenal's or Liverpool's training ground would it even make their local news?

united fans used to take great delight in mocking us for our irrelevance. They don't do that anymore and with good reason.

We're the swinging dicks of the jungle now and I, for one, fucking love it.

As you were....
Nice one Gordon
