Balotelli (continued)

I have observed on Bluemoon and on MEN that folks who criticize Mario Baloteli get slapped down as a Balo haters. These are not logical responses, as many true blues would love to see him succeed here, but are increasingly frustrated by his waste of natural talent & ability. Here's my two cents worth based on observations:

Balo has some natural talents and potential, which are occasionally displayed, but which are frustratingly frequently missing from his game. Maybe playing at Platt Lane is about his mark.

Balo plays more for himself than for his club, and as its a team game that means that he would be very frustrating to play with. Why can't he play for City like he played for Italy in the Euros? Maybe a swift retuen to Italy in this transfer window would be in everybody's best interests (even if that means taking a loss on his fee).

Balo has let the hype of "SuperMario" and let the big money and early success go to his head, so he finds it OK to show his frustrations by mouthing off at officials and by lashing out at opponents and sometimes team-mates. He is so predictably easy to wind-up that opponents will always try it, and his reputation means that refs are watching him closely. No one to blame but himself.

Balo has let his perceived status as a "favoured son" go to his head, and he has abused his position with Roberto, who now needs to show some "tough love", or it will all end in tears. Arrivederci.

Very very good post. Sums up his hopefully short stay perfectly.

Agreed.
Diagnosis for Mario - advanced knobhead, cure unlikely. Absoultley contagious for Mr Mancini.

I stopped reading at "toronto" the cold can affect thought processes. Mario has always been the same his behaviour is not a result of favoritism or talking advantage of anything. If you were a trueblue you would follow the careers of our players and know that even at 17 Mario behaved like Mario. Playing at Platt Lane his mark? His trophy cabinet is fuller than most truely world class players and he contributed to every medal/trophy he has. This Balotelli bashing knows no limits now he is being labelled average? Like I said its cold in toronto maybe a nice cup of tea will clear your thoughts up.

I personally am just sick and tired of people attributing Mario's behavior to "tough childhood".

Sorry - but those same people have no fucking clue what "tough childhood" is.

You have a guy like Dzeko, who (same as me) for about 4 years had to "dodge" snipers and bombshells day in and day out, eat fucking dust and live without phone, electricity, basic shit FOR 4 YEARS - yet look at Dzeko's professional behavior. Then look at Mario.

When you go through "tough childhood" it makes you humble, makes you know your place and APPRECIATE life.

Mario is the exactly the opposite, if anyhing he is SPOILED as fuck.

"Tough childhood"?? Fuck please. I would like to SHOW HIM tough fucking childhood, maybe he'd get some brains and thank God every day for the position he is in...instead of constantly taking a piss at it.

That's a brilliant post. I've always thought the Mario problem was that he was badly spoilt, too.

Way to turn the Balotelli thread into a Dzeko is the best appreciation one. You never fail me Eagles :) Have you now changed your mind from last year when you said "you didnt care if City lost if Dzeko was not playing?" or you only here for the Bosnian?

You can't argue though, it's a top post and totally shoots down the tough childhood theory.

Trust it to be a Dzeko fan to absolutely annihilate the Poor Little Rich Boy argument being put forward by certain Mario supporters. Well done on a top post mate.
