I was in my normal seat in East Stand Level 3 and there was only myself and 8 other season ticket holders in the space around me (2 rows infront and behind and about 6/7 seats each way that I saw) There were however atleast 10 in the same area that booed him as I stood up an applaused as I do all City players and then asked me why I was applauding 'the black twat' so we do have some wanker fans obviously as well as racist idiots, just glad they don't normally sit near me as me and the old bloke in front were slightly taken aback to be honest!

Careful, you might get jumped upon if you even suggest there might be a racial element to some of the grief he receives.

Has anyone mentioned on here that rather odious toad Paul Smith, the one who savaged us on Supplement the other year has been sacked by The Sun recently?

UEFA contacted the paper to ask why he did not attend his games at the European Championships.

Apparently, Smith had been pretending to his desk he was at the games but was filing from a living room somewhere!

Why on earth are you talking about the atmosphere in a balotelli thread?

Because apparently Balotelli songs not being sung with the same gusto is apparently indicative of something whereas I see it as part of a shocking lack of atmosphere. So many songs died on their arse yesterday.

The balotelli song was definitely a half arsed affair which many didn't take up. Not that I'm greatly arsed, but to me it showed a cooling of feeling from a section of the ground who are the most supportive of everyone. This, combined with the booing many heard, illustrates that many city fans are fed up of him. It can change. Tevez is the best example of course. I whilst I think mario is a headcase, I rate him as a player, and feel it was unfair he was painted as the bad guy this week. But if you're going to do shit like take the club to court then that's going to happen.

I'll still be amazed if he's here at the end of January. But if he is I won't be bothered.

There were 47,000 at the recent Manchester derby, didn't stop me hearing the prick in front of me call Evra a black twat, and who was rightly removed.

I was not sat in the East Stand and perhaps instead of citing an agenda of people of being pro or anti Mario, it really is as simple as Mario being booed loudly enough by a sizeable portion of the North Stand to warrant being taken aback by it in the first place.

The fact it was a surprise, would suggest I can't recall too many of our players over the last 35 yearsmot being booed before they have even kicked a ball?

Which suggests City fans are pretty sound.

Yeah, but didn't he score a brilliant goal against Charlton, in same game, I think?

The crowd were certainly cheering him after that.

As the people booing Mario would have been if he had scored yesterday.

Course they would mate. Tevez is the classic example of the pantomime fickleness of football fans. I don't remember Barton scoring that night but I remember emotions running quite high.
