Brenda won't be able to handle him.

Let's hope this doesn't happen.. although I could never bring myself to hate him even if it does.

His main problem is that he only has 'his day' two or three times a season

Not good enough for us, wouldn't even get on our bench

Off the top of my head I can think of about 4 performances where he was actually excellent

- Stoke FA Cup Final
- United 1-6 (But so was everyone else)
- Villa at home where he scored a hat-trick IIRC
- Norwich at home

Can anyone think of any others?
QPR. The little pass to Aguero.

He had/has talent but he didn't take games by the scruff of the neck. Back then you thought maybe he could with time. Now I think we've seen the best of Balotelli.

If Liverpool sign him, that comment could well come back and bite you on the backside!

Take Sturridge for example - a clearly talented player but often lacked the application (or inclination even) to stamp his authority on games prior to his move there. Remind you of anyone? Now he's a completely rejuvenated player. Say what we want about Rodgers (and I think he's a complete tool with the amount of shite he comes out with at times), but he's definitely got something about him to get Sturridge playing the way he has. I wouldn't back against him getting the best out of Balotelli either.

Pellegrini seems to have the respect of all the players. I think that he is only one of a few managers who could tame Balotelli.

What problems has Mario had in Italy at Milan also? No training ground bust ups, no touchline meltdowns as far as i"m aware.

His biggest problem in Manchester was Mancini. I think you're bang on, with someone like Pellegrini as manager, I suspect Balo would've thrived here.

Replacing one troublemaker with another. But look at what the last troublemaker achieved. Can't say I'm too happy about this. He's a pain in the arse, but he has the potential to become one of the best strikers in the world (he also has the potential to become another Robinho). And he'll also ensure that they never miss another penalty again. At £14m, it's not really a gamble.

Balotelli

I know mario wouldn't get near our squad now but I've got fond memories of him at city. I'm actually looking forward to his antics back in the prem but its sad it might be at Liverpool. Hope he doesn't play against us on Monday

Sturridge isn't the only one either. Coutinho, another talented but seemingly lost player, has become IMO a top creative midfield player under Rodgers. The guy's an irritating prick, but he's a very good coach.
