Balotelli training ground bust up with Mancini

I don't think he's "persecuted", I think people on a footy forum slag him off unjustly because they see him in the papers a lot acting the fool.

Had a novel idea, why not just concentrate on what he is paid to do, turn in some outstanding performances that help us win the league....

Here's a novel question. In what way is he not concentrating on doing that?

His performance at Stoke.

Great post Damocles. Has he really only been sent off once this season? I can only think of the Liverpool game at Anfield which was a disgrace of a sending off

I agree, very intelligent post IMO which I agree with almost entirely, but are we turning a blind eye to his red against Spurs because it arrived after he won the pen and the game for us?

PS - I really can't watch him winning that penalty enough times; pure class for me. Defender's leg comes between his, Balo scissors it and turns it into a really clumbsy looking challenge and collision with both of them taking a tumble. Cold as ice.

I can't believe the amount of space this topic is taking up. All season, well at least since we looked like being a real force for the title, the media have been looking for angles. This is yet another snipe at the player, the club, the managers ability to bring order and discipline, and will be cited by our many detractors as more evidence of us crumbling under pressure. If SAF had orchestrated it himself it couldn't be better. WTF are we debating it, other than discussing Balo's performance on the pitch?
Smoking and late nights affect his performance.

He's not going to be brilliant every game, especially for a young player. I guess Silva has not been concentrating on what he's paid to do the past few months too.

Come on man, get real. He's 21! Sucking in the occasional burn at his age isn't going to affect him in the slightest, and just because we see pictures of HIM out on a late one doesn't mean that others aren't up at the same hour. Simple media spin designed to stoke the fire. It was just the same when the Pixie-faced-sister-in-law shagger was seen out in those Stockport night clubs in the early 90s, but the "alcoholic one" got a grip of him and told him to do his shit behind closed doors (and look where that's got him). Open your mind man.

I fully accept that he can't be good every game, nobody can. He could focus more though.

Silva has not been banned for petulant attempted stamps or been breaking club rules regarding going out before a game until the early hours just as a start.
He trains hard and stays out of trouble.
That is all we want of balo, wouldn't mind the theatrics if he was doing more on the pitch though or just showed signs of trying to better himself.

Do you think he has come on at all and if so can you tell me what has shown you this ?.

I want to be a Balo lover again but i am not seeing anything to help change my mind mate, that's the long and short of it.
I don't get any grim pleasure being fustrated with him i can assure you that.
