Oh, and did I mention the fact that this would be the first time in my living memory that we've gone toe to toe with the rags for a player, and come out the winners...
I must admit Bill, I don't think the rags ever bid for him, more's the pity. But I could be wrong.
I'm still not convinced he'll come, or that we'll get him. Saying that, i'm still of the mindset that no-one will come to us!BillyShears said:Balo is the nearest player to Ronaldo attribute wise, that I can think of. They're both big, strong, athletic, super quick, and technically very gifted. In many ways, this could be the most important signing we make Tevez apart. I really do think this lad has it all to become the best player in the world, and for all my complaining about Mancini - no doubt it will be because of him that we've landed a player of that talent. I would sincerely doff my cap...
I'm surprised Inter are going to let him go - well, surprised they're even entertaining the idea. I can only imagine the lad has burnt so many bridges within that squad, that regardless of how good he is, he just needs to be moved on...

We'll be paying through the nose for potential, a bit like United did with Rooney when they paid nigh on £30m.

I hope he does though, potential to be the very best
