So basically, Balotelli wanted 800,000 euros more per year, which over the 5-year contract, is equivalent to 4m euros. City have agreed to pay him this, but want to negotiate the 4m off the transfer fee payable to Inter. It's clear that we have a very specific budget to cover the transfer fee to Inter and Balotelli's wages, and are working to stay within that budget. If Balotelli wants more money, we have to pay Inter less, and vice versa.
