When doing a bit of searching for Mario's highlight videos on youtube, I noticed one labeled Mario Balotelli "The Black Pearl". I "the black pearl" his nickname? If so, not too shabby of a nickname.

If he is the black pearl? Who is Capt Jack Sparrow? (well my cats named that but who on the squad)

Black Pearl? That's catchy.

Fiorentina coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has backed Mario Balotelli to move to Manchester City.

Mihajlovic worked with Balotelli as No2 at Inter Milan to Roberto Mancini, now in charge of City.

The Serb declared: "I'm happy my friend Balotelli could work again with Mancini at Manchester City. There he'll do better than he did with (Jose) Mourinho.

"I like his character even if player can be a bit mad, I prefer them to regular players. Clearly, then he is a challenge to manage. But you should be able handle it and it's not just a problem isolated to Balotelli."

Hopefully we prove Mihajlovic to be a profit by both signing Mario and making him into an elite level striker under Roberto.

I do trust Roberto, but do remember Italian coaches have no love lost for Mouinho. So a parting shot type of thing, they like RM and dispised JM, just something to keep in mind.

i thikn balo has the potential to do well in the prem.

He certainly has all the physical attributes to do well.

He does look very tempromental from (personality and performance wise) what ive seen and i think he is a player that will divide opinions amongst fans once he starts playing for us. He is the type of player that will be a bit hit and miss at the start and maybe for a while. He will certainly take some guidance and RM will need to be at his strongest with him.

I thnk he is they type of player that will be inconsistant and will delight one moment and infuriate the next.

Inter, the City raises for Balotelli

As reported this morning La Gazzetta dello Sport, is acendo increasingly insistent on pressing Manchester City Mario Balotelli: the English club would in fact our offer 35 million euros, a figure that would be unsettling Inter. The problem for Mancini's team is finding agreement with the player, for which it is currently much more attractive proposal of United.

I can't really take any article seriously that mentions United when talking about a £30m+ transfer.

If Balotelli doesn't want to come to us and prefers United that OK with me. He's another footballer that is more about potential than actual consistent quality.

Remember folks, he made very few starts under Mourinho last season. Most of his game time was as a 2nd half substitute. That should tell you that Milito and two other started ahead of him because he obviously didn't offer Mourinho and confidence that he would add value at Inter.

For a player all about jam tomorrow, €35m is too much, especially when you factor in that he is capable of being disruptive on and off the field. So to you Mario, I say "Thanks for giving us the opportunity to look elsewhere for a better, more reliable player".

I'm clearly in the minority that hoped this deal falls through.

after the reports about W/B having to sell ozil i would prefer to spend the money on him. i know he plays in a different position but this lad looks like he could be a world class star without the bollox that goes with balo
