"Italy's player Amauri (L) warms up next to his team-mate Mario Balotelli, during a trainning session at the Italian Football Federation technical center of Coverciano in Florence, on August 9, 2010. Italy is to face Ivory Coast in a friendly match in London on August 10. "

Haha, proves those people were all bullshitting.

peter spencer has just had this to say
"ITS GOING TO BE A BIG, BIG WEEK AT CITY. MR BRENNAN IS BACK FROM HOLS SO WATCH THIS SPACE...IE THE MEN."

Doesn't he mean he'll be back watching this forum.

Was about to say the same. Brennan pulls 99% of his stories from this forum.

When asked about the future of Balotelli, he said: "There are no big steps. We will see."

The president also revealed Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano, who has been linked with a move to the San Siro to link up with Rafael Benitez, was out of their price range at the moment.

He said: "We're happy with the youngsters. So we can stay calm. Mascherano for 30 million (euros)? It's not possible at this price because we haven't sold anyone. The same goes for (Genoa's Giuseppe) Sculli. If we don't sell, we won't buy."

sky sports have just reported it

This is way beyond a joke now. Who is actually delaying this transfer? It wouldn't make sense for City or the player to stall, since that means less (or indeed, no) pre-season; it wouldn't make sense for the selling team, as they will be paying his wages during the summer months for nothing (that is, assuming that players' wages are spread across twelve months. I have no idea if this is the case though).

Did anyone see SSN a few hours ago, i caught the last end of something about Inter Milan and something along the lines of they will buy before they sell.
