The longer this goes on the more likely that someone else will come in for him. With him being in London over the next few days who's to say Chelsea won't send in their mob to try and snap him up.
I only said it's only a few million we are haggling over because this kid is a superstar in the making.
The insecure on here like to make out Chelsea are skinters, I don't think they are though. If one club could step in and snatch him, its is Chelsea. The twats would probably think it was some kind of revenge for the way we snatched Robinho from them, the fucks.

How many times ever has any club suddenly nipped in with a £25M+ bid for anyone? They would have to do all the wages & image rights negotiations etc etc with his agent that we've had to do. It's grown up world that we're operating in here. It's 20 odd million quid! Have Chelsea signed Ramires yet?

Why would they risk it? Nobody ever wants to get in a bidding war with City, if he is moving it will be to City.

I suspect any delays are due to the club not wanting to give rivals pots of money and time to spend it, Rafa wants Mashcarano (spelling) and will pay the dippers good money for him, giving the dippers money to buy more players

Suggest clinching the deal and getting the player into training with City team mates asap is more important - though that is a moot point now that we have reached international week.

Yet expecting him to be poached isn't insecure?

Any delays are inter and more importantly Raiola trying to get the best deal, they don't give a shit who they sell to

moratti today lifted maicon from the market. grew tired of the tug of Real Madrid.
tomorrow if Balotelli did a great performance with the italy team there will be big media pressure on him to remain in Italy. and on moratti to retain him.
I think City is risking a lot.

It's only a friendly though. he'll probably play like 45 mins hopefully.

I am starting to worry about this business now. If Balotelli has an absolute stormer on his Italia debut we could well be fucked. I cannot see him being match fit but neither can I see the Ivory Coast being to arsed about this game. It should have been wrapped up weeks ago.

Agreed. We did the same thing with Dzeko, betting that if we passed on his buyout we'd get a better deal. We were wrong.

And we could muff this one too. The point was to give Rafa a transfer kitty he could use. Transfer window is nearing an end, Rafa could buckle and decide he doesn't need Mascherano. Why are we risking this over a few million and image rights? Do we really want Adebayor to be our only viable option as a striker?

Get it done, now.

Agree. Especially when this is really only about 2-3 million...

and what happens if he has a bad game, doesnt work like that.

the fact is that Mancini knows Moratti very well. and knows that if he asked 30 million euros Moratti will not sell for 29 million Balotelli. last year he said ibra could only go for 70 million and 70 million went.

be wrong. but I still think that someone in the board is boycotting Mancini's market.

Apart from the one who scored 29 goals last season.

Flap flap flap.

How do you know that? The negotiations could be about how much we pay in add ons over the course of his contract & there's absolutely no telling how much that could be. It could be a lot of money if he wins leagues, Champions leagues etc.
