It's fear mate.

Think about it, we lost De Jong and Johnson and bought in two young lads in Rodwell and Sinclair. Ones constantly injured and the other may as well be for how much use we get out of him. It's shit like that, that gets you going. Then you factor in that we are out of CL and CC and some players haven't played anywhere near enough which is a worry. Dzekos comments following the match the other day "I was happy to play, in training it was Carlos and Sergio so it was a nice surprise." (Paraphrase).

Anyway enough from me. Will follow thread in hope of bigger bid or KPB + cash.

Before I go, is anybody else hoping the 'rotten apple' gets hold of Barbara Berlusconi? That'd piss the father right off ;)

Wasn't having a go at you mate, I was also relating it to my post about Nasri. Just saying we are all a tad bored with the window and happy to try and read something into a throw-away comment.

;)

Let's hope its done tomorrow with enough time to get some action. Unlike the masses on here id rather a wide player come in for our left side, Isco is ideal, get him and use new TV cash for Cavani. We have to get a wide player in, before a 4th striker anyway.

Agreed.

If I could be arsed searching my posts I'd direct you to one of mine from beginning of Jan saying that "Balo out / Isco in" would be a great window and all that's required right now.

Normally as deadline day approaches, teams have to up their bid to buy a player. With Milan they seem to be offering less and less. 20m euros is the latest I've heard. Let's hope we don't get fleeced (again).

If we sell Mario but don't get a replacement, that tells me Guardiola is on his way.

He's on his way alright!

To Germany....

Keep up man!

Glad I'm not the only one

How long until Guidetti is back? If he was playing youth games a couple weeks ago, he must be close.

We're only going for 2 trophies, 3 strikers should be fine until he can sit on the bench.

Guidetti - Completely untried at this level. Would you really want him starting a lot of games if we had an injury crisis in the run-in to a possible league and cup double?
Mancini said the other day that he's a couple of months off full fitness, so whilst he might be fit for sub appearances in a few weeks, he's not going to be starting any games for a while, which means we're relying on Aguero staying fit, Dzeko starting and Tevez whose drought in all comps from open play is now 819 minutes.

If Milan sign Balo, I hope they offer some loan deal as a sweetener. Robinho, Pazzini or maybe Niang so we have a stop-gap goalscorer until we sign someone in the summer and Guidetti gets back to full fitness.

Why would we want Robinho back I don't want us to go back to playing with 10 men away from home, Pazzini know where near good enough and Niang is Milans future so they wont let him leave.

At least johnmc's WUM attempts are funny.

I wouldn't place the 'blame' entirely on our strikers, the final ball/service is often poor.

Quality creative players is where we should be looking, maybe even a winger,shhhhhh.........!!

Regarding Tevez,he's often instrumental, one way or another,in the goals we do score.

Imho boateng would be a bit risky. Top player but he has had big injury problems in his career of late and its meant he has missed big chunks of the past two seasons. He quit ghana because he couldnt take any more games than he was playing.

If Balotelli does go then there needs to be a top notch replacement come in otherwise we wait until the summer. I'm confident that's already been taken care of but he's such a mercurial talent that it's going to be a job to replace him.

It's a disappointment his incredible talent has never quite been fulfilled but he's blown his chances now, IMHO.

He's a young lad who's untested largely. No chance.

We play 1 upfront, why are 3 players too little? We have Guidetti coming back too. Real get by with 2 strikers.

Have in mind we were buying Aguero to replace Tevez. He never got sold and that's why we have 4 expensive players. Ideally your have 2-3 top ones and a fringe player like a youth graduate coming on.

Clubs slashing wages too, gone are the days of signing up a player on high wages to attract. Now its competitive wages because we offer a challenge for trophies.

I remain certain in my opinion that another will make way and then a replacement will be drafted in.

Balotelli has hardly played anyway this season so if we signed a 'top notch' replacement they would expect to play everyweek and I don't see how we can keep 4 big named strikers happy with us being out of Europe. Having said that I would mind Villa on loan as he could play on the left giving us a bit of width but I cant see a deal like that happening.

Villa played tonight for Barca and they looked great together again. That's what was missing last year imo.

Still quick, links play nicely and will score too, clinical player and still has it. Barca will be buzzing with him back. My picks for CL.

Thats not true though is it..we play with two up front which means we would only have one other striker to swap in whereas real have put ronaldo up front before. Lorente would have been a good buy for us. Two small strikers and two tall ones.

if Mario has to go he would be a potentially excellent swap

Mancini has selected Tevez for Nasri that's why. If push came to shove (its a hard life with our great squad) then he'd have to use Nasri there and Tevez upfront.

We could play Milner there and have Garcia with Barry, by doing so Tevez play upfront again. That's two options there, both utilised with international players who've already done good jobs already. Silva plays well with Milner and Tevez and Nasri have great partnership linkups.

If you look at the run in last season then it took incredible efforts from Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko and Balotelli to secure that title. If Balotelli does go and isn't sufficiently replaced then I don't think the other three we have are enough.

Tevez isn't really scoring at the moment either. Not like he can.
