I have this thing called a season ticket.
So do I, but £46 at Goodison, £50 at Hull, £43 at Villa etc, and sometimes higher prices for visitors and non-S/T holders at home shows the Barcelona prices are not out of the ordinary. I suppose I agree with your comment about them being "scandalous", it's just that they also happen to be normal at the moment.

Yep. I know some people say £45 vs Stoke is different to £45 vs Barca, but it's still just 22 blokes running about.

Still be there until I can't afford it, mind.

Difference being one of those teams haven't got a grey-haired **** instructing his players to play dull fucking football.

I have 935 points and will be p*ssed off if I cannot get a ticket.

I went to the game last year and would estimate that 20% of the crowd around me were tourists who had never been to a City game before.

How the hell did they get the tickets?

See my earlier post. It's obviously a Corporate/Hospitality issue.
Gone are the days when all we needed to do was to turn up, pay our dosh at the turnstile and stand in our usual place on the terraces amongst the same guys week in, week out.
Mind you, the bogs are much better nowadays than the old Kippax brick shithouse.

Where I sit, I would estimate 80% of the crowd are tourists. It's the same at the FA Cup as well. I have no idea why so many seasoncard holders don't bother with cup games, but they don't.

I'll pay my money and go to the game, sitting in my normal seat, and I will be surrounded by strangers who will spend most of their time holding up cameras and clapping if Messi scores.

I'm used to it now, but I can't help thinking it's not quite right.

because (loyal fans) couldnt be arsed going so there was plenty spare .if the 20% of so called
tourists near you didnt go the seats would have been empty

correct. dont forget we as city fans carrying seasoncards get first choice of those seats. if we can't be arsed or are skint working or whatever the tickets will go elsewhere. simples. perhaps a tourist could get the bug and start to be a regular themselves. better than empty seats yes?

Also, we hear week in week out that youngsters can't go to mid week games because of school the next day etc. that is a very fair point. However, there is "outrage" on this thread about youngsters / families being priced out of the Barca game. Are they both true?

I know many people want to go to the glamour ties but I found Barca's diving last season undermined their "more than a club" mantra.
