Barca ticket prices announced

My maine hope would be that genuine City fans can get tickets, as last seasons game in the North Stand level 2 was something like the Muppet Show - full of overseas tourists and people who clearly weren't City fans. How they got all the tickets, god knows but Id wager they hadn't been to The Etihad before or since that game.

One bloke in the row in front took photos every 2 mins; when he went to leave with 5 mins to go, my mate tapped him on the shoulder and said sarcastically "see you on Saturday for the Stoke game."
If the overseas tourists hadn't been there you would have been sat on your own. The only muppets are the City management that decided to charge such high prices for kids in the family stand. They've done the same again and there'll be very little demand from fans with kids. But the really annoying thing is that after those of us who will buy tickets for their kids have done so, they'll give thousands away around the schools. Properly annoyed about this and I will be writing to the club to tell them so

Already had this conversation several times with City's customer services last year. Sick to death of hearing City giving away tickets while I pay for Myself, an over 18 & an under 16 for every home match, Barca costing me £105. They phoned me up saying its there policy to ensure a good atmosphere by giving tickets away to local services such as police, fire, hospitals, schools etc. I argued sensibly putting forward my case that if they can give them away, loyal fans who turn up no matter who we play, what weather or what night should have a rebated refund. We agreed to disagree but who wins? not friggin me. She said she would raise my point higher up the food chain, yeah right. Good luck with your letter, PM me if you get anywhere.
Will do mate but I reckon I know what response I'll get. It'll be an email from either Danny or Lisa thanking me for my feedback and they'll take it to consideration. I'm the same as you in that I'll be paying £105 for match tickets. Paid about £95 last year then a couple of days after the match one of my lads dads tells me they got freebies from the school.

because (loyal fans) couldnt be arsed going so there was plenty spare .if the 20% of so called
tourists near you didnt go the seats would have been empty

correct. dont forget we as city fans carrying seasoncards get first choice of those seats. if we can't be arsed or are skint working or whatever the tickets will go elsewhere. simples. perhaps a tourist could get the bug and start to be a regular themselves. better than empty seats yes?

Also, we hear week in week out that youngsters can't go to mid week games because of school the next day etc. that is a very fair point. However, there is "outrage" on this thread about youngsters / families being priced out of the Barca game. Are they both true?

I know many people want to go to the glamour ties but I found Barca's diving last season undermined their "more than a club" mantra.
I've always taken my lads to midweek games since they got their first season tickets aged 6 and 8. Maybe I'm a bad parent but I never saw the harm in it getting home about 10.30ish. Their mum didn't approve though. We're in all 3 cup schemes and you're right many of the season ticket holders near us in the family stand don't go to midweek cup ties. But then again most of them don't go to any cup ties. Don't know if it's affordability or the fact they can't be arsed, I suspect a little bit of both.

Surprised to see such a tight loyalty point levels. is the demand really gonna be so high? was it last season?

(a bit worried I might not get a ticket together with my missus now as I'm bringing her to the game and she only has 500points or so)
I think that's because there are very very few general sale tickets from the club to City fans available on CL nights. The amount of none City fans in the Etihad for CL games is astonishing! So UEFA, CL sponsors, City sponsors and things like VioGoGo must get shit loads of the normal general sale tickets. Hence the high Loyalty Points for those available.

I used to like Barcelona. But it was only because I was fooled into thinking they were a really good club with a team that played beautiful football.

In reality they are a mental organisation that allows their best player to say who should be bought and sold and who should be the manger, and their team spend 95% of the time they don't have possession of the ball either moaning at the ref or cynically fouling the opposition. And their diving is on another level to what I'd seen before from any team we've ever played.

Now I just think FC Barcelona are a set of cûnts from top to bottom.

^This... mostly.

Nothing to do with them beating us last year, more a case of the saying: 'You should never meat your heros', was true in this case.

I have 935 points and will be p*ssed off if I cannot get a ticket.

I went to the game last year and would estimate that 20% of the crowd around me were tourists who had never been to a City game before.

How the hell did they get the tickets?

Spot on bill. I went to school in moss side, and our school was given tickets for Maine rd. Quickly found my true love, and have been hooked ever since. Free tickets do work sometimes

Thanks Gingers Dad

The Club should have a way of ensuring that your lads get cheaper tickets for Barca at home.
