I think that's because there are very very few general sale tickets from the club to City fans available on CL nights. The amount of none City fans in the Etihad for CL games is astonishing! So UEFA, CL sponsors, City sponsors and things like VioGoGo must get shit loads of the normal general sale tickets. Hence the high Loyalty Points for those available.

Thanks pal. Will see what happens. I reckon I'll get for her anyway

any City Card holder wanting a ticket will get one

someone said this game last year sold out around 1000 points. but we'll see, hope you're right.

Great prices for the cup schemers( no brainer to join all 3 )... Pisses me off how barca can charge so much for the away leg though

They aren't charging us any more than they charge their home fans in the top tier. You should have a look at the prices in the lower tiers!

I meant compared to what we charge them... Why should they pay 50-60 here but we have to pay80+ over there.

Because the home clubs set the prices. Tit for tat pricing for away fans is a non-starter because it just punishes the fans, why should Barca fans fork out more at our place because their club are greedy cunts?

I'm not going to Barca this season largely because of the ticket price, last season I'd booked flights and hotel before I found out the ticket prices.

My first season since the cup schemes began that i'm not on all of them, dropped the euro one reluctantly due to cash probs and life debt :(

But want to try and get to the barca game (won some money at the last match on a £1 bet!!!) - would be booking online 9am thursday.

Anyone book online for the barca match last year? did it crash? we were still in the cup scheme so didn't have to worry, unlike now!
Mum can't do heights so want level 1, preferably near our own seats - so you guys with experience of online booking, am i likely to have a mental breakdown thursday morning as it fails to work?!?! ;)

anyone?!

Nope, I bought mine the day the points went down to 500, at 09:03.

It was slow but didn't crash.

They sold out very soon after that.

Cheers for the reply!

That would've been blue card member yes? Cos seasoncard holders not on the cup scheme all get lumped in on the same day - doesn't matter whether you have 2000 points or 10,000 it's a free for all 9am thursday! The only points drop is once we get to non-seasoncard holders.. I guess they wont let seasoncard holders have an easy ride with a few days booking with points drops as they want us all on the cup scheme! :(

2014/15 Platinum/Gold Seasoncard holders (not registered on the UEFA Competition Cup Scheme) – Thursday 22nd January at 9am.

Yes, it was Blue Card with Priority.

I suspect it will go to more or less the same this year. Perhaps even more available as it's no longer a novelty.
