Personally I don't think we should give Barca the steam off our piss. They've had enough favours of us already
They’ve had no favours off us and this is for charity. What favours have Barca had off us???? We sold them Ferrán Torres for £55m. We employ their greatest ever manager. We literally own one of their local rivals. We didn’t sell them Bernardo Silva…

How many fucking times… it’s for CHARITY in honour of a good friend of our manager who has a debilitating disease - it is not a favour for Barcelona. Anyone bitching about potential injuries just looks like an absolute tool IMHO.

Get over yourself.

Honestly there area so many self-entitled whinging cry babies on this fucking forum. Feel like I’ve stumbled on to RAWK or red cafe at times. Go support the dippers, Klopp seems like your kind of manager.

For everyone who is moaning about this game I want to confirm why we are doing it.

It's a charity game for ex Barca player Juan Carlos Unzue who has been diagnosed with ALS which is also known as Motor Neurone Disease.

He was a team mate of Pep and Txiki and funds raised will help him with his life as there is no cure and also to ALS research to help fund a cure

This fixture was arranged months ago with the full backing of the board.

You need to get over yourself, forums are about opinions and if you don’t like someone’s opinion that’s fine, gobbing off and telling people who’ve supported City for over 50 years, to go and support another team because you don’t like what they post is making you look like an absolute tool…!!

I literally don’t give a shit how long you’ve supported City if you’re gobbing off about something in aid of ALS you’re a tool IMHO.

I can only hope none of you moaners ever have someone you care about contract ALS. It’s a hell of a lot worse than John Stones picking up a calf strain.

And just making shit up about it somehow “favouring” Barcelona is absolutely abhorrent.

I have 2 hopes for game firstly no injuries and secondly that there’s an auditor chained to Laporta to ensure the proceeds go as intended and aren’t siphoned off as part of the 57th economic lever to register players.

Playing this game and being in barcelona is good for the squad imo
If they didnt theyd have at least 2 days off
So travelling has no impact other than have them away together having a good time
So long as the match yields no injuries (but they could get injured in training anyway) it will be a good thing

Can see it being something like:

Ortega
Lewis, Stones, Mbete, Gomez
Bernardo, Phillips, Foden
Palmer, Haaland, Alvarez

Decent enough side - gets all the new signings some much needed game time, gives an opportunity to a couple of kids, and ensures a sprinkling of first teamers who are a bit behind get some more minutes in their legs.

But crucially doesn’t take too many risks - I’d keep Ruben, Kyle, Joao, Rodri, Gundo and Kev well away from this game.

Mahrez is maybe the only other who would be worth playing - assuming Ake and Grealish both stayed home in Manchester.
