I'd say they deliberately falsified their accounts. If they sold something over a ten year period, then even I know that should be accounted for on an annual basis for each of those ten years, even if there was an upfront payment for 100% of the deal.you mean one of the levers they pulled was a trap dop that they were stood on.
I'm not sure if it affects Chelsea's deal as that was a physical asset sell for a one hit cash injection which is perfectly fine. What Barca did was sell off future revenue which is a completely different kettle of fish and of much higher risk
