I agree, Fernandinho is the integral part of the 4 4 2 system. I'd choose Demi over lescott for two reasons, 1 demichelis has pevious experience of playing against this team plus he knows messi from his national team days. 2 the thought of lescott being hounded by barca's high pressure is scaring the life out of me. On the flip side lescott played excellent against Chelsea, everyone seems to go on about Demi's lack of pace but lescott is even slower, he just makes up for it with his excellent positioning. I believe the decision on who to play at left back could be HUGE! I would of picked Kolarov before Saturday but Clichy was excellent! His run and pass for the first goal was world class.

Believe me Demichelis' "experience" of playing against them in his Bayern days wouldn't fill you with confidence.

I think we have to start Silva and Nasri in the game, Barcelona will no doubt have more possession so when we do manage to get the ball we need those two to help Yaya and Fernandinho with the build up play.

Both can retain the ball well and along with Yaya they create a good attacking triangle going forward.

Seeing Garcia's name on the team sheet on Saturday didn't fill me with confidence but look what happened!

The team will be

Hart

Zaba Komps demichelis kolarov

Garcia Ferna

Yaya

Silva Nasri

The Beast

I can't see him starting Jovetic in this game as he just played 70 mins on sat.

He is getting stronger every game; he will start

It would be too much of a risk to start all three of Silva, Nasri and Jovetic IMO.

Heard a whisper that Man City will start with Fernandinho and Garcia against Barcelona tomorrow night

Sounds like Pellegrini is opting for a 4-2-3-1

Interesting, maybe going three in midfield like we did when we played Chelsea away.

Nasri, Silva on the wings, Beast up front.
