What he said was that you don't know what his tech abilities are, so to say they are better than his modding ability is an uninformed opinion, which to him make it worthless.
Now I'm not saying I agree with him, I don t want to get dragged into this arguement, I can see both sides of it.
The problem is, like most arguments on this site, people only see their own side and won't budge, even when it's plain to see the other side is right there doesn't seem to be any middle ground.

That isn't what I said about tech. I said that we accepted that he was good at it because the evidence is that the forum runs well - certainly better than some others. We can see more of what his and others mod style is because we see evidence. That's all, not looking to start WW3

Fair enough, we all form opinions on the evidence even if it is one sided. Every banned poster isn't a complete idiot plus, we CAN see what is posted by the mods such as Damo's post to me.

I think I am going to step out of this one, as has been said by someone else on here, his opinions are entrenched and I don't want to get accused of bear baiting so I'm done.

My opinions aren't entrenched by any means as anyone who moderates with me will attest, in fact I'm rather flexible and go with consensus all the time.

You don't know this of course, because you don't know a single thing about my moderating. As your opinion is totally uninformed thus worthless.

The amount of grown adults who get their knickers in a twist because somebody points out they said something stupid and wrong never ceases to amaze. You lot need to stop wrapping your ego up in your opinions, especially if they're crap ones

can we do something about posters who continually exaggerate, and make exaggerated sweeping statements to make it sound like they're informed and have a clue, but actually don't, and are just spouting emotional, pre-determined nonsense, usually attacking some aspect of the club?

This "it's the end of the academy" nonsense upstairs because one player has left is just rather manipulative and completely over the top.
