Battle Of Orgreave

It was indeed a ****'s trick but as Scargill was in fact a ****, it seems entirely appropriate.

How the fuck is it appropriate? Do you honestly believe it's appropriate for a policeman to hit someone because of his political beliefs? Fucking outrageous statement.

Utter drivel, as usual. That prick Scargill tried to use the miners to fulfil his political aims to bring down a democratically elected government. Fortunately he failed, but unfortunately for the miners, it speeded up the closure of pits.
Rubbish. Scargill was wrong in the tactics he employed during the strike but he was absolutely right that the Government were planning wholesale closures of the mines. Not many believed him ( thinking only a small number of the most uneconomical pits would be closed), but he was proved to be correct. The strike didn't speed up closures, those pits we're doomed anyway.

Angry violent mob suppressed by a bit of heavy handed policing. Oh dear, what a shame, never mind.

I do not want a solitary penny of my tax money spent on a pointless enquiry about a non-event 32 years ago. Honestly this should not even have made the news today.

Can I just add that Andy Burnham is a joke.

SYP had to pay out £425,000 in compensation to 39 miners for assault, wrongful arrest, unlawful detention and malicious prosecution. In 2015 the independent police complaints commission said there was evidence of excessive violence and perjury by the police and the South Yorkshire Police and crime commissioner admitted that the police had been "dangerously close to being used as an instrument of state"

Who cares. I couldn't give 1/4 of a toss.

Sadly we haven't had a left government since then, but the times are changing, the people are educating themselves and getting more knowledgeable through social media and new longer as reliant on right wing propaganda sheets like the nazi supporting daily mail
power to the people.. with raised clenched fist, (preferably with che type beret for effect)

Sadly not enough people. Some people are selfish cunts and unless something directly involves them they couldn't give a shit. Personally I think police brutality and state sponsored violence is something we should all care about.
