Throw it on the pile
Psh, has nothing on the Joan Gamper trophy.

That’s the pinnacle of football.

First half was a great watch, second half not so much. Rico Lewis was the standout, kovacic not far behind and sliding into the midfield nicely as expected, love his movement to free himself foe the return the second he releases the ball. Mcatee despite scoring just not getting himself involved anywhere near enough. Good workout, hopefully the ake injury was simply precautionary, it didn't look like much more than that.

Special shout out to the pocket of fans who made themselves heard with the rendition of city songs throughout. they made more noise in that 90 minutes than the entire Colin bell stand did all last season
Did you notice the 3 young Japanese lads trying to get the Poznan going

Some thoughts from today. Rico was outstanding. McAtee is beginning to worry me...got to show more...we can't talk about his footballing ability and talent forever. Cancelo is clearly a top class player but no idea what his future is. Gomez is a skilful player but not good enough defensively. Kalvin is a good solid player but not elite...squad player only for a top team like City. Perrone is clearly a talented young lad...have to wait and see with him. Bobb is an exciting prospect...has a lot more to offer...just a little afraid to really attack and show his talent...maybe still a little intimidated playing in the first team. Kovacic will have a big part to play this season for sure.

Good game, especially the first half, technical level from both teams is very high, but City ultimately better, Bernardo and Kovacic sublime players. Bobb has something about him, if he adds end product he'll be a top player.
