Bayern Munich v MCFC Post match Discussion thread

A few points:

Let's not blow the Dzeko reaction out of all proportion. Had the Tevez incident not also happened we'd be talking about a striker angry to be coming off because he wants to play. Great, shows he's dedicated. End of story. Move on.

Played well for half an hour then fell apart. Yaya Toure hasn't had the best start to the season. Got away with it in the league, showed up tonight. Barry's been carrying that part of the midfield work.

There's still some way to go. Lots to learn but this is hardly the most horrific thing that's ever happened. The manner was disappointing but I'll be more concerned if we don't beat Blackburn.

Finally Carlos Tevez should fuck off. I have had no time for him since the wanting to leave business began. He's a great player, I'll agree that but would really rather never see him in a City shirt again. He is a disgrace most of all to himself.
The cynical side of me thinks that this is a carefully orchestrated move by him and his mate Kia.
Whatever it is it most definitely is disrespectful to City and to the supporters, it's an embarrassment, not to City but to Tevez and I have to agree with everything Souness said about him. His behaviour epitomises everything that is wrong with football.

So furious that, yet again, it's the Carlos Tevez show for all the worng reasons.

Hoping this will all seem a lot better by the weekend but I suspect that unless we thrash Blackburn this is going to go on and on.
Welcome back to the familiar madness of MCFC!

I agree with all you say, lets not forget Bayern havent lost in at home in the CL since 2007, we are work in progress in the CL.

Tevez, surely we can take the fucker & those cunts that sold him to us to court for breach of contract, manuvering/ manipulating a move...fraud

Judging the reaction of the players to the substitutions i would guess that Mancini has lost the dressing room. The pictures of what appeared to be happening on the bench did not make happy watching. If it's true that Tevez refused to come on it speaks volumes on the lack of respect that the players have for the management.

City deserves a better manager. I think that this lack of respect didn't come out of nowhere. I think that many players don't have such a great opinion on Mancini and his coaching abilities.

And I didn't expect such a behaviour from Dzeko, he should be fined for that.

I feel more determined than ever to keep hold of Tevez now. I feel he should now be made to see out the rest of his contract playing the reserves nowhere near the first team squad. If he refuses to play, excellent, we keep fining him wages for breach of contract.

Just seen the Tevez interview where he avoided the question about being finished with the club. There is no excuse for his actions and it seems to me this is another stunt to enable a move elsewhere but it's totally wrong that City should lose money having to sell him cheaply or continue to pay the wages of someone who is in breach of contract and shown total contempt for the club.

The blues in Munich tonight must be gutted having spend hundreds of pounds to cheer this self regarding parasite on. He must never play for City again and I just wish the club could take some kind of legal action for compensation against him.

Good post

I think it will be difficult at Blackburn because this will have been a physically and mentally draining game. Might work in our favour if the media launch an inquisition over the rest of the week.

We need to shut them up more than ever

Onwards and upwards. Anyone over reacting needs to man up and stand firm. The media will do that job for us very adequately. The Champion's League is obviously proving to be a steep learning curve. However, I thought we played some very good stuff for 30 minutes.

One of those penalty decisions in our favour could have changed the game. Admittedly, the 2 goals were sucker punches and we faded afterwards but we will learn from the experience.

Didn't agree with the Dzeko substitution and will forgive him his strop. We all have the right to question the manager's decision not to take off Barry for De Jong and push Yaya forward but I think most people will continue to back Roberto.

As for Tevez, it would not surprise me if his actions were premeditated. I am sure the club will now take swift, punitive action.

Joint top of the league and still a fair chance of advancing in the Champions League.

Happy days.

Hart -10
Richards -7
Kompany- 9
Toure - 6
clichy 6
Yaya - 5
Barry - 4
Silva- 7
Dzeko - 7
Nasri -6
Aguero -6

Graeme Souness - 10 Thought he was Fantastic

What the fuck you on about, It was Tevez.
Oh were doing OK in the PL and did well last season if memory serves me well.
Your right about Dzek though
