Bayern Munich v MCFC Post match Discussion thread

I didn't expect anything from this game so the result itself wasn't a shock. Frankly it was about right on the play overall.

But what did shock me was that we don't seem to have any leaders on the field. They all went missing when we needed leadership and team spirit, particularly the captain who twice in a few days did a stupid body check. He gets more like Dunne every day.

They were great in the first half, really giving Bayern a game but then just gave up in the second instead of stepping up.

Judging the reaction of the players to the substitutions i would guess that Mancini has lost the dressing room. The pictures of what appeared to be happening on the bench did not make happy watching. If it's true that Tevez refused to come on it speaks volumes on the lack of respect that the players have for the management.

City deserves a better manager. I think that this lack of respect didn't come out of nowhere. I think that many players don't have such a great opinion on Mancini and his coaching abilities.

And I didn't expect such a behaviour from Dzeko, he should be fined for that.
What the fuck you on about, It was Tevez.
Oh were doing OK in the PL and did well last season if memory serves me well.
Your right about Dzek though

How many players do we have to ship out before we get it right. The question has to be asked has Mancini got the management skills for the job? If he has he has to prove it and now. Make no mistake this is his last stand. We can not continue to have this kind of problem with players lining up to have a go at the Manager and undermining his authority.
I expect Dzeko to be upset I would not be happy if he strolled off laughing but his performance against Everton and tonight were very poor. Yes you can say he needs better service but don't act like a prat when you are having a mare.

It's the players we should be looking at. Do they deserve to be part of this club? Some of them don't.

Mancini confirms Dzeko dropped to the bench on Saturday for dissent. Aguero and Balotelli up top then.

He loves City.

And that's where your argument falls apart like steak that's been slow cooked in sumptuous red wine gravy for 4 hours.

If he loved City, he'd have took his sorry, splinter ridden arse off the bench and give his all for the cause.

But he didn't.

I'm sure a lot of fans would have forgiven him if had played, given his all and then whinged like fuck to the press after.

But he didn't.

He chose to make a point during the biggest game this club has had for years. That sums the man up for me. That shows the ego. That shows the mental flaw in his character. That shows what you get from a man who is no more than a car salesman's puppet.

Can some one point out the good in Mancini to me? It's easy to rail against Tevez, you can't refuse the shirt, understood. But it's up to the manager to instill respect and Mancini can't do that because he gets the lineups, the tactics and the subs wrong, again and again. Kolarov? Don't make me laugh! The ineptitude she showed at Fulham is only overshadowed by his outdated training methods that have lost the teams confidence to begin with. Take a look at Silva's face and body language, he clearly is trying to make a formation work against the odds. Stacking the midfield with defensive mids!? like Yaya and Barry and expecting to have Silva and Nasri to pick up the pieces is a joke! This is what Kolo meant by having the defense and offense better atuned! Won't happen under "bob". Lapses in concentration overall are coaching problems, lapses in defensive roles are coaching problems.Coming out weak after the break, like we often do, is a coaching problems. Anyone with any level of a coaching experience will know this. Tevez is just a little man. He is not the problem. The question is, is there anyone out there that can manage the tactics and the egos?

There is no need to loose all hope for the group stage. And there also is no need to bash some of your players (except Tevez woh seems to have no honour).
First of all I think Mancini should give the team a more flexible concept. After the first 25 minutes, when City was the better team, Bayern learnt how to deal with the pressure. Our midfield gained control and from that point City was kind of lost. They seemed to have no alternative strategy. For me that has nothing to do with individual weaknesses of some players. Don´t forget that our midfield is very strong. To me Bastian Schweinsteiger is the second best midfield organizer besides Xavi. And Luiz Guistavo is a very good addition to him. His strength in winning the ball back is tramendous. He will play a major role in the brazilian team in the next years. It was not about Barry`s lack of speed or Nasri being uninspired. Our midfield took over and City had no idea how to deal with it. There was no space for Silva to create something. If City thinks about an addition to the team you badly need a real organizer to open the game. You already have most of the other cornerstones.
And City is strong enough to win at Napoli. I did not want to come here after winning and tell you what a great team Bayern is. But we´re surely strong enough to take away 4-6 points from Napoli.
When I first came here I was impressed by the confidence you guys have for your team. Don´t loose that just because you lost an away-game.

This is going to effect us if its not handled properly,i have never been so pleased than to see an international break on the way. Tevez is a cnut thats for sure but bobby lost it today and should of been more controlled,he cut his nose off to spite his face.

Platts body language says it all he knows that this is fooking terrible,i for one am worried about the short term and i hope Bobby will come through it and manages to stay as our manager, but i think sadly that this may be just the beginning of a huge fooking storm.
