Bayern post match thread

This team is crying out for a player like Reus and we need to keep Jimmy in the middle. Toure and Nasri don't fit into the away type game where we need to play neat and fast football on the break.
Di Maria was our man

I think if it wasn't for the FFP we would have gotten him

No way he would turn down CL football, chance to play with Aguero and Zabaleta for them. No way. Di Maria would have taken us to that next elite Bayern/Barca/Madrid level.

Bar Silva we don't really have a mid that can make something happen

Still pissed of with the draw we got! Liverpool got an easier group and they been out of the competition for 5 fcuking years!!

If we finish 3rd in this group in hope we go all out and win Europa

What happened between Yaya and Pep? Although I can probably guess!

Some on here need to man up though - yes Bayern had good players out but the ones they bought it were hardly the Gerry Creaneys of this world were they? End of the day if we'd have got a point very few would be moaning. We failed to do that narrowly and the world has suddenly ended - get some perspective.

Gutting yes but am I proud of the Blues - yes. Hart exceptional - plus really good performances from Demechelis, Navas, Silva, Kompany, Sagna and Fernandinho for the most part. At times tonight though, as against Arsenal his defensive decision-making was atrocious - much better than against Arsenal though.

Yaya was very poor though - but form temporary, class permanent - bring on the chavs 3-0 - Yaya brace and Nasri ;o)

Our team is a fabregas and a Reus short of an elite team.

If we had purchased those two at the expense of the bully and his mercenary mate,we'd be dynamite.

Hopefully Fernando is back very very soon.

we dont need anymore players, we have a good enough squad, we can't just buy a load of new players every time we dont win. We've already spent a load of money as it is, we are good enough now.

We dont have to win CL this year. What we need is improving tho. Both in displays and also how far we go. CL group fiasco or losing in the semfinal. Kompany miht say its the same as both are losers but I think we need a few CL semis and maybe lost CL final before we actually will win it. Thats how Bayern won it last time thats how Real won it. Before they won it they had 2-3 lost CL semis, or CL final loss. (Bayern-Chelsea)

We never even were in quarterfinals. Spurs reached that with Harry "tacticmaster" Redknapp. We can blame seeding, hard draws, everything no one will care about that.

We need to improve in CL thats the basic. Last year finally we gout of of groupstage only to get beaten by a Barca that maybe was the weakest in last 6-7 years. No wonder their manager was off instantly....

Big question is unfortunately did we reached the knockout stages last time because we didnt have rotten luck with the draw as it gave us "only" CSKA and the Czech Plzen whose squads doesnt come close even to Newcastle's maybe or because Pellegrini improved us quite much in CL compared to Mancini.

This seasons group stage will answer that as its a similar group like the first we had with Bayern, tricky Italian team and a team that is expected to be beaten home/away.

I would happily accept a CL semifinal now as that is a great improvement finally in our CL history.

Thats what we need improve in CL. It has financial reasons too, later stages of CL pays more, also more sponsor money etc.

The way Dortmund dominated the shit out of Arsenal I cant say we would have benn lot more comfortable vs Dortmund. And they missed few of their stars too. And their whole wage list is about the half of ours. Yet tactic/mentality is top notch and they have to deal with losing top class players every summer. (Gotze, Lewandowski etc.) We have the luxury of keeping everyone we want.
Its finally fucking time mostly the same group of players perform as good in CL as it should.

We need to make a run imo. 3 years is enough experience...especially with the likes of Toure getting on. It would be great to make the semi's.

Let's get one fact straight, Yaya doesn't give a flying shit about the club and that showed after the game tonight but also in the summer when he disrespected the club. I would sign Pogba in the summer if available.

Nasri is a gifted, fantastic footballer but does not give us the balance the side needs. He slows the game down in attacking areas, it's frustrating to watch.

x2

x3, although Ferny and Joe played out of their skins, feel sorry for them!

Anyway, bring on Roma at home! Should be an interesting night!

Only read the first and this page, and most of it is utter bollocks imho. I thought we played very well in large parts of the game, Hart had a great game, but we had decent chances, and the penalty on Silva was nailed on, but every tackle we make is now a foul, and every foul we concede is a tackle, the bias against us in this competition is worse than a joke.

I thought our players played very well, couldn't single out anyone who played poorly, manager got the team spot on, and the subs were about right (might have brought on Kolorov 10 minutes earlier perhaps).

Wish I could post one of those 'amazed faces' gifs.

The difference is that they play as a team,it is a team effort that ultimately wins a game,if not some individual moments of magic.Atletico and dortmund they work hard as a team, extremely focussed and organised, very unlike us.Here we have only a handful of players stepping up to the ocassion, and giving it a real go.

I on the other hand have read them all. You chose wisely sir. Good post, though a couple of poor performances really, and I'd have Kolorov on from the start.
