In the last few years on here I’ve seen the beeb go from a Tory mouthpiece to an institution that now has to be saved from the Tories.

Amazing how views can and often do change.

Netflix offers dramas, films, sitcoms, films, topical documentaries. So it is a fair comparison.

Whilst Netflix doesn't offer educational services. I know BBC champions quickly default to this point from their "protect the BBC" crib sheet. There's plenty of tutorial aids from other sources online and on YouTube which don't enforce a subscription on to the population.

It was also teachers who went above and beyond and improvised to deliver lessons virtually whilst also hosting lessons in school for families of key workers who helped deliver education in lock down.

So let's not pretend BBC education was some lockdown saviour. BBC presenters on top whack are hiding behind this deluded idea to protect their income.
 
I'd support them because until 2016 they were brilliant, and also any "enemy" of the current governement and its gammon supporters is a friend of mine. But I'll never forgive them for the false equivalence of their Brexit coverage. "First we have the chairman of a giant export company to tell us about the problems of leaving the single market. Now we have Brenda who owns a flower stall in Boston to tell us it will all be fine if we just believe".

They have the country's blood on their hands but now they are in a vice gripped by Johnson and the rest of the Vote Leave government.
