BBC: lorry deliberately ploughs in to german christmas market

I was at the markets tonight. pretty big police presence, especially in Albert Square. Several vans parked up around the square

I've never met a Muslim that I thought would harm me. In fact quite the contrary. The terrorist's are using Islam as a vehicle for their hatred of anyone they wish to hate, more often than not fellow Muslims.

oh by the way when i thought it a good idea to buy that Rossler t-shirt she didnt speak to me for a year as she had her house blitzed near the swamp

I took the hump about that shirt as the cockwomble who designed it put fucking Lancasters with German markings on it! What an absolute prize tool. Infact the Germans did not have any four engined heavy bombers makes it even more stupid.

It's quite simple really. Islam is a religion consisting of multiple nations, ethnicities and other groups and generalising about Muslims is like generalising about people who live in the Northern hemisphere. As for the far right, the leadership are far from fuckwits but most of the followers are in a similar way that most members of terrorist groups are probably quite stupid and open to being brainwashed unlike the leadership who are just evil bastards.

Focusing on my use of the term fuckwit doesn't really help the discussion.

I agree with you about generalising, I have met plenty of muslims non of whom gave me the impression they have any sympathy with the jihadists and non that are/were Jihadists or terrorists as far as I know. They all seemed perfectly nice people. Actualy on the Jihadist one I have attended a talk by a reformed one that was both fascinating and frightening. He pulled no punches on how important sealing our borders was incidentally.

You are right focusing on terms used doesnt help solve the problems let alone the discussion, my point exactly.

I think we're agreeing with each other in general and I'm as against political correctness for the sake of it as anyone but it's wrong to generalise about anyone whether it be Catholics, Muslims or Jews. It is safe to generalise about United fans though.
