BBC pay reveal

Is the Mulberry Tree the large pub right by the traffic lights before you hit the swing bridge ? As you say they both ended too early.Wonder if he ever remembers them ?

He got his break on the Timmy Mallet show on Piccadilly radio. Went to my school. Was a performer even then. Always in the school productions etc...

I just don't care how much they pay their presenters or how much Sky pays Jeff Stelling. I don't care how much they pay some blokes to kick a football round a pitch for 90 mins or whatever. The BBC operates and competes in a market place and to do so successfully it will have to pay these sort of rates, although I suspect the Beeb will be at the lower end of the scale.

If we are going to beat up on the Beeb and Lineaker then I want the chance to beat up on all the fuckers who ponce around on our screens waving their fucking opinion in my face. Fairs fair and all that and no I don't give a shit that one is a public company and the others private. One way or another we end up paying for them all and the Beeb is cheaper then most.

I'm with the op it's a market the thing that sticks with me is when the likes of vine "it's a sad day for bbc" or Humphries will be having a go in the next few days at economically active and productive people. Their markets ok cos their nice luvvies but the commercial markets and those that thrive there are bad. Pure hypocrisy and double standards. If only "their" market could have been kept secret how much better their world would be.
Rant beginning.

Bit of a envy thread this really and if winkleman is the top female presenter then no wonder women get paid less although naga munchetty should get more than dan bloody walker for sure.

Think there will be a fair few MPs and ex-MPs smiling smugly this evening. They were always going to look for revenge for their own expenses furore, and this will taste sweet for some of them.

Because I care about the reasons behind this and doing it retroactively. If the BBC charter stated that all salaries had to be published and you knew this prior to joining then fine. You know the score and you accept it or don't join. But the people who just had their salaries revealed had an expectation of privacy and a right to that privacy. It's a shithouse stunt and I dislike it intensely.

Remove ALL studio pundits from MOTD and just show match after match without post match studio analysis would still work, and in my opinion be an improvement.

You could even give viewers the red button choice to turn off commentary during matches.
What bliss that would be!

there would be much less talk about motd on forums and social networks without pundits. many fans get wind up with their comments, new threads are being open at forums and that's always good free marketing for any show.

Things change in a working environment. I don't see why those who earn loads should be treated differently.

We the public put a lot of money in. Other public services have to publish salaries so carry on I say. Transparency is good. Is shows those who are not worth it.
