PB - should be good debate. I've not heard about this or been approached, but let the organisers know I'd be more than happy to get involved to put it all into perspective based on the history of Manc football etc.

I posted a few comments on another thread: <a class="postlink-local" href="http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=241547" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=1&t=241547</a>

But I'd be delighted to get involved and paint the true picture of Manchester football now and in the past - I hope they're interested. Plenty to say of course to ensure a balanced debate.
Gary - you've crystallised an idea that's been rattling around in my head for a little while. I get fed up of hearing the same rubbish in the media about us (even Nigel Gleghorn was spouting some crap about City & FFP last night). We need a media-savvy group of fans that know their stuff that the media can come to for informed comment. There are a few of us about that are knowledgeable and decent media performers and perhaps the club can help out by ensuring their media contacts have our details?

I've contributed plenty tyvm, racist.
Would you like to justify that comment before I report it?

You called des hardi an anti-semite for being critical of israel, and I called you up on it.

But you get away it, surprise, surprise.

Funny how you also slag me off for making a joke after I went to uefa website to put how much united have lost for being knocked out, but hey, can't say I'm surprised by your attitude, nor dave's.
Des knew I was teasing him. It was nothing to do with you and it doesn't make me a racist.

I know there's already a thread about this but I wanted to make sure this didn't get lost. A few of us are appearing on 5 Live at 1pm in a debate with rag fans. We need some soundbites or punchlines to hit them with.

Totally agree. I've no idea how this all came about, so it may be that names were put forward by the Club. For the only 2 small bits I've ever done for BBC Fivelive/World Service they found my publisher by doing a search on "Manchester football" and my publisher forwarded their emails on to me. Not from City contacts.

Personally, I wouldn't look to be someone who they call whenever they need a City story as, like you suggest, it's about knowing the subject and I reckon that it all depends on what the topic is. You should be on for financial matters, for example, and when it comes to comparisons between the Manchester sides and their history/stature etc. then I feel I have something to offer... and so on.

None of us could ever claim to represent all fans or topics, but groups of fans with areas of expertise would work. Definitely worth pursuing.

Des knew I was teasing him. It was nothing to do with you and it doesn't make me a racist.

You posted it on the forum therefore it had everything to do with me.

Secondly the old "I didn't mean it, I was just joking" chestnut, so did Clarkson, he had to apologise. Also the "I'll let you off" comment you made after he splutteringly justified himself to you for no reason hardly stank of "teasing", thirdly calling someone that on a thread like that when you're "Playing some private joke" doesn't wash, and you know that.

Even if it was "teasing", I'm more than within my rights to make a query of it, as I have, and putting it out there you should expect that, unlike your completely unfounded "pea brain" comment, as I have already contributed to this thread but you decide to be an arse over a joke, work that one out.

But you go with the "yeah we beat the cunts 6-1" line, sure that will come across great on radio, sorry for looking up facts for you guys, I won't bother in future.

And sorry Dave for making a joke about you being dismal, as the small, insignificant piranha I'll just swim off on my own merry way.

Cya guys.

yeah, I heard you had your humour bypass reversal surgery this afternoon, good luck with that.

Heard you and Billy were then off to the Hughesy Wankfest Auditorium to watch Sparky: Unplugged tonight for the 15,432nd time this year.

So romantic, bless.

Hahaha. You're embarrassing yourself. I won't point out the huge flaw in the post above because - frankly - it's not worth correcting people like you. Enjoy living in the angry delusional state you're currently inhabiting.

Hi Gary
I can't speak for the others but fivelive got my contact details from Radio Manchester which I've done a few times. I doubt the club would pass on personal details.

Does anyone know the difference in prize money between getting through to the knockout stage and then getting knocked out of the last 16 - 8 - 4 - final etc and winning the Europa League
United made 53m euros last year, 27m of which is knockout stage money.
Porto made something like 7.8m euros, about 6 of which was knockout money.
it goes something 200,000 euros for the last 32, 300,000 for last 16, 400,000 last 8, can't remember the semi's but it was 3,000,000 to the winner and 2,000,000 to the runner-up(euros) last year.
Thanks for that JMW. I just hoped the difference wasn't so much that it affected our FFP effort significantly. (In vain it seems.)

Erm...what has happened on here?

JMW are you having some kind of breakdown?

Back to soundbites....I'm writing a piece tomorrow for Saturday's Sabotage Times about the myth of United's current squad being young and in transition.
After the games last night me and my brother listened in amazement as one rag after another phoned in to the radio station and claimed this as the reason for their Euro exit.
So tday I've done some pretty poor maths (not my strong suit) and worked out that City had a younger team than United last night and furthermore our 25 man squad is younger than Uniteds.
So this 'Fergie's Fledglings' bollocks is precisely that.
'Bobby's Boys' anyone?

If someone more intelligent than me could have a go at working out each squad's average age and see if I'm correct then that could make a decent soundbite. They're bound to bring up the age myth.

JMW, you need to calm down mate!

It's like watching a really drunk guy randomly throwing punches in a pub at anyone who comes near them.
