Who was that player they bought off Sunderland the year they went down under Mick McCarthy without trace? They paid well over the odds for him and he wasn't even getting into the Sunderland team.
That always seemed to be a dodgy deal too.

It amazes me that baconface's name never cropped up in the News of the World phone hacking investigations. He must have been a prime candidate for hacking with all the innuendo that's surrounded him over the years. Guess it was a case of Murdoch not wanting to kill the golden goose.
