Belgian Fans (merged)

what a load of rubbish - a small time mentality ? ?. do you think its fair that city fans even with enough points couldn't get tickets, yet tourists who clearly aren't fans are able to ?. for one of the biggest games of the season. your answer seems to be if you dont accept it go and support stockport or macclesfield. ...... why should we as a fan base accept that and allow a situation where long standing blues can't go anymore. i didn't realize the new world of supporting city involved fans not being able to go anymore :) lets just accept that though or else we are small time.

Well for a start, the club had to reduce the tickets to half price in order to sell them. You or I have no idea whether we would have sold out based on the traditional support. Perhaps if they hadn't reduced the price the demand would have been less?

At the end of the day Kompany has been a tremendous servant to the club and he wanted to help out 200 of his fellow belgian fans to secure tickets, would you rather the club pissed off a player and said no. I think it's a tragedy that 200 belgian fans who could further spread the good name of the club have had their experience tainted by a small mindedness group of City fans.

Away ticket allocations have very rarely been 100% fair particularly when demand outstrips supply. The points system is clearly not perfect but it's the best system I can think of. Well done to Vinny for promoting our club to a large group of belgian supporters I say.

The club are clearly selling tickets to anybody they can, look at the Champions league, selling to anybody from anywhere whoever they support just for money, should be ashamed of themselves.

Easily a couple of hundred of them grouped together. And people wonder why it's getting harder and harder to get hold of away tickets. Seen a fair bit of hostility towards them in the concourse both before kick off and at halftime.

One nob was continually taking their half/half scarves and throwing them looking to square up to any of them that would entertain him. Then their was the same kind of thing at halftime and a bit of a scuffle that happened right behind me, one idiot throwing punches all over, didn't see who the target was but i'd put money on it being one of the Belgian lads. A few other blues then had a go at him because he was doing it right next to a little kid who nearly got in the way of him.

It's not the fault of the Belgian lads that they got hold of a ticket, yes the half/half scarves are embarrassing but they were causing no harm and wanted to sing more than most of the "hardcore" regulars (even if it was just the vinny and De Bruyne songs)

The blame and any anger should be directed towards the club for syphoning off what was easily a few hundred tickets in one area and allowing them to be sold/passed on. It happened last year at Arsenal and this year it happened on a much grander scale, how many will they take from the allocation next season?

Agree with what you're saying, which is why i thought the blues that were aggressive towards them last night were absolute bellends. However, the issue here isn't whether we should accept fans that aren't necessarily City fans or fans from abroad, the issue here is how they've managed to obtain a 200+ section of away tickets for a game that sold out on about 12000 points. It makes a mockery of the ticket points and the platinum scheme and shits on people who just missed out.

I can't agree with them getting the tickets but I find it odd that people would attack them over it. It's not really something you would twat someone over is it?

With all these foreign 'fans' it is a wonder why we took such a small allocation at Norwich in the FACC?

The club is turning its back on real supporters. This type of thing is common at London games though, but probably not on this scale.

That, is quite simply, an outrageous lie.

They didn't HAVE to reduce the ticket prices, this is a game they have used the £200k fund for in the last three seasons, Chelsea being the other game.

The Belgian fans paid FULL price.

The game sold out on 13,700 points by all accounts so you are either wumming or are VERY poorly informed.

I think quite a few fans on here in the past have, rightly so, asked for more transparency on the ticket distribution. Well I think, following last night`s, piss take one of the cloudy windows has began to clear.
It now seems to me that the only way to guarantee an away ticket in London is, 1,Join 93-20 or Joe`s corporate. 2,Fancy a trip on the Thames with Brian Marwood. 3, Be born in Belgium. or 4,Join a supporters club {according to some :-[ }
