Some real sad people on here.....Not sure going to every away match means you are more of a supporter than just home match attendees !!.....the point is we need to embrace any fan who wants to support us.
I supported City due to my dad....some friends became City fans because they liked King Colin or Frannie Lee ......my kids support City due to me.......I know some people of polish heritage who became blues due to the Denya connection.......Believe it or not we are not born blues.... But something or someone has influenced them (maybe very early in life) and they have seen the light.......just like our friends in Belgian.......and I can't apologise enough for any idiots who abused or attacked them.

It seems quite ironic that we are lucky enough to have the best owners in the world....who just happen to be foreign...yet foreign supporters are treated with contempt by some on here.....we are all enjoying the ride and long may it continue, but 55000 through the turnstiles most weeks is not enough to make us self sufficient.....turning City into a global force is the way forward.... Get used to it !

I 'm personally more upset with the missing thousands at the recent home Cup games....... These same fans will be expecting Wembley tickets should we get to the final !

I'm from Belgium too and i also want to watch a game live in the near future :-). I hope i'm welcome :p

We would welcome any fans to support city but city should have offered them home ticket not really sort after away tickets that are half price maybe league cup semi final tickets would have make more sense

Seems to me that it was the official Belgium supporters club, by the looks of their Facebook page they got 195 tickets. So its nothing to do with Vincent Kompany, they got their tickets directly from city. https://www.facebook.com/BlueMoonBelgie/posts/1022328754491750

No Supporters Club would get 195 tickets, no matter where they're from. And as I've already said, it was reported that they themselves said the got the tickets from Kompany,

I can't agree with them getting the tickets but I find it odd that people would attack them over it. It's not really something you would twat someone over is it?

When did that happen. They older guy who got hit at half time was nothing to do with The Belgium support - I was told by an eye witness. It must have been over in a flash because I nipped into the Boggs and when I came out the incident had happened

Hear,hear. I'd hate any foreigners to feel like they cannot support Manchester City. After Monday, I sincerely hope the Belgians are not put off.

I don't like Kompany. I think he's an arrogant twat who puts his country before the club who pays his wages. We've had some other talented players who I feel the same way about and don't regard as "great". Great players are the ones who respect our club and its fans. I don't think he does.

That's my opinion and you're free to disagree with it. But you aren't going to change it.

I think a lot of people are, and people who decide to follow City in Dec 2011 when a Championship is on the cards are not real blues. Football is part of our culture, it shouldn't be strip mined and sold to the highest bidder.
