Benat

I stopped following La Liga for a number of seasons now (par the occasional classicos!); slowly returning to watch some games as possible this season (Barca & Deportivo!).

From members' comments; Benat seems a very good deep-lying playmaker. Anyone can please compare his style to another known player?

Also, what about Dortmund's Gundogan as an alternative?

I noticed him last season when I was watching a Dortmund's match. Not sure what is his best position, but is he worth to be considered??

Alonso and yes but we'd have to pay a fucking fortune.

This is easy, he is very much like Xabi Alonso from what I've seen and possibly his heir in the Spanish national team. I do like how in addition to his graceful playing style he's quite a dirty bastard too who really can get stuck in. He'd probably get quite a few suspensions, have a look at his recent yellow card count!

Really appreciated, Thanks.

Good to know that he does carry some defensive tasks!

I was lucky to watch Pirlo since his early days with AC and see how he developed his defensive and ball holding style only at the later years of his career in Milan.

Knowing that Benat already has experience and contribution in the defensive duty is a real bonus for us.

I really hope that he will be a player in our team.

Man City locked in Real Betis talks for Benat
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Thu, 12/13/2012 - 11:01

Manchester City are closing in on Real Betis midfielder Benat.

AS says City are in talks with Betis over a January deal for Benat.

The midfielder's contract carries a €20 million buyout clause and City will have no problem meeting that price if they can strike personal terms with Benat's management.

Isco and Benat looking like it really could come off. - How refreshing!

Until they join Chelsea and Liverpool and we sign James McClean. (/Marwood nightmare mode)
