Benefit Street on Channel 4

Where's the TV show about low-paid workers struggling on in-work benefits or unemployed people desperate for work?

Where's the TV show about low paying bosses and private landlords scrounging off the welfare state with low pay and rent subsidies?

Where's the TV show about rich tax dodgers who are hiding £25 billion from the public purse while millions struggle?

Where's the TV show about £16bn of benefits unclaimed by working and unemployed people, compared to £1.2bn benefit fraud?

Most social security goes to pensioners who pay in all their life. Most working-age benefits go to working people. 6.5m people are chasing full-time work.

Make everyone think unemployed people are scroungers, and let the bankers and tax-dodgers get away with it. Clever, really.

As for well-off TV producers trying to further their career by turning the poor against the poor: You. Are. The. Pits. #benefitsstreet

To answer the lefty tosser's third question, Channel 4's Dispatches had 'Secrets of the Tax Man' as well as 'Secrets of Your Boss's Pay', as well as several other programmes. Also HMRC's official estimate is somewhat different: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/statistics/tax-gaps/mtg-2013.pdf

At £4.0 bn, it is less than the black economy at £5.4 bn, which these scrubbers seem to be contributing to.

I wish you would. It's beyond parody.

I doubt she 'enjoyed' it in the sense of the word you so tactlessly potrayed, but you know that, and couldn't resist a dig at the expense of your self righteous beliefs.

"She" has you have incongrously portrayed her is much more than able to defend herself than most. That you feel the need to dive in and portray me so shows only weakness on your behalf as insults are no basis for any arguement.

Leave the debate to us grown ups

You seem to have this mixed up. The stats on the link you've provided show a combined £25.5bn tax gap for business; you've only taken into account one element of it when others, such as legal interpretation, are part of the tax avoidance bracket.

Grown ups eh.. A self professed 'president' of a computer forum. I know where I'd rather be living my life, and it isn't craving the faux love of an internet community that has become a name dropping, arse kissing, back slapping utopia that you so much rely on.

I think you owe Mackenzie an apology.

If you hate this place so much why do you post on it? Its just a chance to get away from the fucking shitty real world where people stab each other in the back. It's just a laugh.

I don't hate this place, I love it. but I won't be preached to by a man that is the self professed leader of a forum. Forgive me, its a little fucking twee for my liking. In fact, he should be glad I'm rallying against him. It's everything he believes in.

The very fact you love it but hate some of the things written on here show how varied the forum is. Rascal's posts are usually quite serious, his alter-ego El Presidente is just a joke, no-one takes it seriously. I know I'm not really his henchman, although I reckon Kev is a bit gay though.

Hmmmmmmm....

I probably don't want to watch this do I?

I'm surprised your TV hasn't washed away. Do channel 4 even have a northern section on demand?
