It's not bollocks, it's something else entirely .

The successful, didnt-know-his-place Mario Ballotelli used to get similar vitriol, as does Raheem Sterling whenever he misplaces a pass etc.

KDB never seems to get the same grief .And nor should he.
You've opened a can of worms here. I'm not sure people look at Mendy and think because he's black that he's a troublemaker of some sorts.

However, in the interest of balance, there is a thing called unconscious bias. Many psychologists believe most people have somewhat innate and minor racist behaviours/thoughts due to such unconscious biases that are imprinted. It's definitely out there, the media treatment of Sterling (and others) has some elements of this. To suggest users on here though have any trace of that is dangerous and as you can already imagine, offensive (to some).

I do think this is a serious claim however, especially if there's any remote hint of truth.

You are really backing him up?

Don't care what he does on social media - he's allowed to have a laugh.

But he's clearly had some professionalism issues whilst with us, he's constantly been injured, and when he's played the majority of the time he's not played well.

For those reasons we need a new first choice fullback; I'd have no qualms keeping him as 2nd choice as when he's had good games you can see the impact he has & if he can have a run of fitness he could be an asset, but from the evidence so far we'd be foolish to rely upon him for a further season. We need to accept it's not worked so far & try again.

So, in the 22 games he's played for us to date(19 wins and 2 draws), you reckon he's not played well in more than 11 of those games?
The man has been unfortunate with injury and probably has an imprudent social media presence, but when fit he's played well. Heavens, he even managed to win a World Cup in the summer.

Most games I've watched of Mendy he's been relatively poor on the ball in possession & poor defensively. He's had the occasional games when he's been unstoppable going forwards. But in my perspective weighing up pro's/con's he's not hitting enough pro's to warrant a first 11 spot in our current team.

Think your pushing your luck claiming he managed to win a World Cup too - did he play at all?
