Had another very good game tonight, pleased for the lad he’s worked hard to get back to his pre injury level
 
He needs a good few months fit and training and playing every week to improve his basic touch, quick passing and play under pressure. It will happen, it will take a bit of time, but he'll get there. Rondos Rondos Rondos. He's 2 years behind everyone else on that front.


Defensively he was good, going forward he was pretty good too, just needs to dial in the perfect crosses he used to put in and keep his head under pressure.
 
He’s come back better at the things he was shit at before his injury and worse at the things he was good at before the injury. We will miss him defensively in the 2nd leg and I didn’t think I would ever be saying that about him.
 
Besides that 2mins of madness where he gave the ball away and picked up a yellow, I thought he played well. He's slowly but surely getting back to where he should be in my opinion, fingers crossed we finally get a full season out of him to assess where he's at.
 
Had an okay game. Lucky that Madrid didn't attack down his side too often. They mostly attacked Walker's side via Vinicius Jr., Gabby provided exceptional support defensively when needed for Mendy. Hopefully Cancelo or Zinchenko are up for it. Such a bad, rash challenge for that booking.
