I thought he was very poor yesterday. He looks awkward when he receives the ball and his passing was woeful. IMHO I think it's a shame but his best days seem to be behind him.

at the moment he looks like someone who's won a raffle prize to play at left back.........hope be comes good some.

Not looking promising for Benj.

Can’t pass, can’t defend, can’t trap a ball, can’t cross a ball.

I hoped beyond hope that he’d be the one, never seen enough of him before the injuries to know, but he needs to go.

It of course doesn’t help that we aren’t currently playing with confidence, and whilst we don’t have Laporte it means our fullbacks aren’t as fluent going forwards, however he should be showing more than this.

His passing was poor yesterday but his defending was OK. We can't really blame him for the goal, he tracked Kante well and there was a lot of bad luck in that goal There was also no reason for Ederson to leave his line.

Overall I still think he is our best option as a left back and I feel more comfortable having him there than the other two just because he can bully whoever comes his way with his physicality, we have enough lightweight players in the team and need to balance it out. There were those corner situations in the Everton game where Zinchenko was marking Yina and he looked like a child playing with an adult.

I am sure Pep will figure out what is wrong with his passing as he can't even complete simple passes, it may be panic from lack of games but he has more room for improvements than they other two. So until we have a better choice I think we should stick with him.

His defending was Ok because Diniho covered his ass for 95 mins.

Defending was poor.
He didn't do much defending, he was caught out of position so many times, he was rarely in defence, then add that most of his first touches were passes to the opposition, his actual passing was little better, and his crossing woeful, it really wasn't a great afternoon, something he even seems to have acknowledged himself.

If there was a positive he did improve in the second half....
