Benjamin Mendy - City lose case and Mendy awarded £11m in back pay (p168)

Not going to debate his court case , he has had a nightmare couple of years due to his arrogance and attitude towards women and surrounded by hangers-on with morals that belong in the gutter.
Having said that he has cleared his name and been exonnerated , he has paid a high price and has hopefully learned his lesson and changed his choice of "friends" and advisors.
Playing in the French league will no doubt mean a massive salary decrease , but at least he is playing again and will have the opportunity to rebuild his career , but with his wages and fee etc has to be one of the biggest wastes of money since our Brazilian magician Jo and on a par with Mangala.

As shit he as he was that is doing a disservice to Mangala. Mendy should be tried for crimes against football.

I’ve just been setting up Amazon Prime again ahead of the season. And to make sure it was working ok, I put on the final episode of the City documentary, as I never bothered watching it at the time.

I’d forgotten that Mendy made his comeback from injury in the first game after the title was clinched, at home to Swansea.

Easy to forget now but it showed how popular he was at the time. It wasn’t quite Colin Bell V Newcastle but there was a lot of love for him, both in the stands and clearly in the dressing room.
