I wonder if we might get news of a deal agreed today with mendy flying into Manchester Monday? would love it to be today mind but not sure it will happen.

Cut out the ball in from the flank and you don't expose the center backs to the ball in behind, and you cut out 50% or more of the goals against!

Also, as a team, we will be much stronger from set pieces, both for and against, and will be able to actually leave a defender with size and pace back on the half way line for attacking corners. Still less than 1 Pogba though. We keep our HG quota and improve in the 2 positions that needed improving and these guys should not need replacing for 4/5 years

This window so far we have improved our midfield hopefully improved our goalkeeper and have improved our defence all with better younger players whats not to love and the window does not close for 6 weeks so who knows we may still improve our attack and possibly strenthen the defence. We are buying younger players and we have succession planning in place Silva for Silva in years to come

Possibly. What's interesting is that for all the talk we are at the end of the 2nd week of July and only Silva has been sold.

Presuming Mendy is done but you never know. Bayayoko seems to have gone back to Monaco. Mbappe announcing new boots
