Exactly my thoughts. If Walker was 40m, Mendy would have been done at the same price. They sold Bakayoko for 35m and Silva for 43m. Mendy is not more valuable than these two.

He was always going to be expensive because Monaco have absolutely no need to sell him. They don't need the money, they've already sold players this summer and made more than enough, plus there is a real lack of quality fullbacks in world football. Same with Walker, both on long contracts, both at clubs with more than enough money so that they really aren't in need of the money so to buy them you have to offer something so high it makes it worth their while.

Its mouth watering mate, we will finally get to see this team actually play the way the manager wants on a consistent basis. Its going to be fun watching teams try to figure out how to stop the barrage :)
