Benjamin Pavard

Doesnt have pace to replace Walker at RB we don't need CBs and it's surprising yo see people believe Romano today?

I believe Pep would rather have signed Rice last summer but the fee made us go for Phillips, for instance. Signing Pavard would be much easier than knocking on Leverkusen’s door for Frimpong to negotiate for instance
Frimpong is a right back that moves up and down though? Why would we want that when we don’t play with that? Every single ‘full back’ at our club needs to be able to either play as a CB or as a DM. If they can’t do either, they’re not needed. And actually most of their time would be spent in either of those positions.

How much is it that Pep wants and likes him and how much is that this is an easy and convenient transfer?
Probably a bit of both, but if Walker leaves he becomes a need as i don't think there are better options available.

I told everyone Dias was going to be a fucking beast. Does that mean I'm allowed to say Pavard won't improve us at all?

In fact, with Walker on the way out, I'd say it's a fairly large downgrade.
An honest question? How often have you watched this guy play? How has he managed to be capped 49 times by France by age 27 and been a regular at Bayern for the last 4 years? He's a World Cup champion and a Champions League winner. I'm sorry but one doesn't reach those levels of success by being a poor player. I'm not saying this guy is Maldini and you may not fancy him for God knows why but you can't call him a fairly large downgrade to just about any FB on the planet and expect to be taken seriously. If Pep wants him here and believes he brings value then case closed...just sayin'...

Pavard is much more skilled with the ball, which is what Pep will like about him. And Walker is a guy that Pep said didn't fit well into his current scheme. Makes sense to move him, if he wants to go.

Hold on. Who called him a poor player? Who called him a downgrade on every full back on the planet?

Some of you need to learn to handle differences of opinion better.
