As far as I'm concerned he's been the best speaker I can recall in my lifetime. He's defended parliament with honour and protected it's sovereignty.

As a person I found him an aloof **** but maybe that's a quality needed to be a decent Speaker of the House.

Hoyle would be a decent shout as he's had experience in his role as Deputy. The Blarites in the PLP are lobbying for Harriett Harman in the vein hope she reigns in Comrade Corbyn when his government takes over.

The best speaker I have witnessed and I love how he let the legislature properly scrutinise the executive.

As an MP his record was that of a horrible Tory, as a Speaker he was fabulous.
